சர்வதேச மாணவர்கள் தினம் - International Students' Day :

✒️International Students' Day is celebrated every year on 17th November (today). It is observed annually to commemorate the student uprising internationally. On November 17, 1939, at the end of the student protest at the Charles University in Prague, the capital of Czechoslovakia (Europe), Jan Opletal and nine student leaders were hanged, and the occupation of Czechoslovakia is remembered on this day. It was first celebrated in London in 1941 by the International Student Organization.

• மாணவர்கள் தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் நவம்பர் 17ஆம் தேதி (இன்று) கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இத்தினம் மாணவர் எழுச்சியை பன்னாட்டு ரீதியில் நினைவூட்ட ஆண்டுதோறும் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.

• 1939ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 17ஆம் தேதி செக்கோசிலவாக்கியாவின் (ஐரோப்பா) தலைநகர் பிராக்கில் சார்ல்ஸ் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் இடம்பெற்ற மாணவர் போராட்டத்தின் முடிவில் ஜான் ஓப்ளெட்டல் மற்றும் மாணவர் தலைவர்கள் ஒன்பது பேர் தூக்கிலிடப்பட்ட சம்பவம், செக்கோசிலவாக்கியா ஆக்கிரமிப்பு போன்ற நிகழ்வுகளை இந்நாள் நினைவூட்டி வருகிறது. இத்தினம் முதன்முதலில் 1941ஆம் ஆண்டு அனைத்துலக மாணவர் அமைப்பினால் லண்டனில் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.

உலக குறைப்பிரசவ குழந்தைகள் தினம் - World Prematurity Day :

✒️World Prematurity Day is observed on 17th November every year. 15 million premature babies are born worldwide every year. That means one in 10 babies is born prematurely. Premature babies are susceptible to various diseases due to their low immunity. Therefore, it is observed to create awareness about those diseases.

• உலக குறைப்பிரசவ குழந்தைகள் தினம் நவம்பர் 17ஆம் தேதியான இன்று கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. உலகம் முழுவதும் ஆண்டிற்கு 15 மில்லியன் குறைப்பிரசவ குழந்தைகள் பிறக்கின்றன. அதாவது 10ல் ஒரு குழந்தை குறைப்பிரசவத்தில் பிறக்கிறது. குறைப்பிரசவத்தில் பிறந்த குழந்தைகளுக்கு எதிர்ப்புச்சக்தி குறைவாக இருப்பதால் பல்வேறு நோய்கள் தொற்றிக்கொள்ளும். எனவே, அந்நோய்கள் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தவே இத்தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.

S.Ilakuvan - Tamil Scholar

சி.இலக்குவனார் - S.Ilakuvan - Tamil Scholar :

✒️Prominent Tamil scholar and Writer, Prof.S.Ilakkuvanar was born on 17th November 1909 in Voimedu village, Nagai district. He started the Tamil Preservation Society in 1962 for the development of Tamil. He has received many titles like "Muthamiz Kavalar", "Senthamiz Mamani". Ilakkuvanar, who worked tirelessly for the development of Tamil throughout his life, died on 3rd September, 1973.

• சிறந்த தமிழ் அறிஞரும், படைப்பாளியுமான பேராசிரியர் சி.இலக்குவனார் 1909ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 17ஆம் தேதி, நாகை மாவட்டம் திருத்துறைப்பூண்டிக்கு அருகில், வாய்மேடு கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவர் தமிழ் வளர்ச்சிக்காக 1962ஆம் ஆண்டு தமிழ் காப்புக்கழகத்தை தொடங்கினார். முத்தமிழ் காவலர், செந்தமிழ் மாமணி போன்ற ஏராளமான பட்டங்களை பெற்றுள்ளார். வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் தமிழ் வளர்ச்சிக்காக அயராது பாடுபட்ட இலக்குவனார் 1973ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 3ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

ஜெமினி கணேசன் - Gemini Ganesan - Indian Actor :

✒️Tamil film actor Gemini Ganesan was born on 17th November 1920 in Pudukottai. Movies like "Kalyanaparisu", "Vanchikkottai Valiban", "Kalathur Kannamma" are some of his amazing works. For his contribution to the film industry, he has received many awards such as 'Padma Shri', one of the highest awards of the Government of India, Kalaimamani Award and Screen Lifetime Achievement Award. Gemini Ganesan passed away on March 22, 2005.

• தமிழ்த் திரைப்பட நடிகர் ஜெமினி கணேசன் 1920ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 17ஆம் தேதி புதுக்கோட்டையில் பிறந்தார்.

• கல்யாணப்பரிசு, வஞ்சிக்கோட்டை வாலிபன், களத்தூர் கண்ணம்மா போன்ற திரைப்படங்கள் இவர் நடிப்பில் வெளிவந்த அற்புதப் படைப்புகளாகும்.

• இவர் திரைப்படத்துறைக்கு ஆற்றிய பங்களிப்பிற்காக இந்திய அரசின் உயர்ந்த விருதுகளில் ஒன்றான 'பத்மஸ்ரீ" விருது, கலைமாமணி விருது மற்றும் ஸ்க்ரீன் வாழ்நாள் சாதனையாளர் விருது போன்ற பல விருதுகளை பெற்றுள்ளார். ஜெமினி கணேசன் அவர்கள், 2005ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 22ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
