✒️Evolution Day is observed on 24th November. Evolution refers to the dimensional growth of organisms. On November 24, 1859, Charles Darwin published his book "On the Origin of Species." Evolution Day is observed to commemorate the publication of this book.

✒️Renowned Indian writer Suzanna Arundhati Roy was born on 24th November 1961 in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. Many of her writings deals with female slavery in society, the problem of child labor, and US foreign policy. She was actively participated in Mehta Bhatkar's "Narmada Bachao Andolan" movement and gave her voice to the problems going on in the society. Arundhati Roy, who felt that her writings were reaching the masses, has been writing various works such as novels and political essays. She won the Booker Prize in 1997 for her first novel "The God of Small Things". She was the first Indian to win the Booker Prize. She turned down the Sahitya Academy award. She is the recipient of the 2004 Sydney Peace Prize.

• 1997ஆம் ஆண்டு தனது முதல் புதினமான த காட் ஆப் ஸ்மால் திங்ஸ்-க்கு (The God of Small Things) புக்கர் பரிசு பெற்றார். இவர் புக்கர் பரிசு வென்ற முதல் இந்தியர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. இவருக்கு வழங்கப்படவிருந்த சாகித்ய அகாடமி பரிசை இவர் மறுத்து விட்டார். 2004ஆம் ஆண்டு சிட்னி அமைதிப் பரிசைப் பெற்றுள்ளார்.
