அமர்த்தியா சென் - Amartya Kumar Sen - Economist & Philosopher :
✒️Nobel laureate economist Amartya Sen was born on November 3, 1933 in Santiniketan, West Bengal. His research has spanned many fields, including economic theory, political philosophy, public health, and gender studies. He has deeply researched and written about the concept of Social Choice. He was the first economist to combine economics and philosophy. Food production alone is not enough. People need purchasing power. In case of famine and drought, the cash flow should be increased to the people. Sen said that food items should be available at low prices. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1998 for his contribution in the field of economics. Apart from economics, many countries have given him many awards in appreciation of his services in many fields like humanitarianism and environmental development. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1999.
- நோபல் பரிசு பெற்ற பொருளாதார மேதை அமர்த்தியா சென் 1933ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 3ஆம் தேதி மேற்கு வங்க மாநிலம் சாந்திநிகேதனில் பிறந்தார்.
- பொருளாதாரக் கோட்பாடு, அரசியல் தத்துவம், பொது சுகாதாரம், பாலின ஆய்வுகள் உட்பட பல துறைகளில் இவரது ஆய்வுகள் விரிவடைந்துள்ளன. சமூகத் தேர்வு (Social Choice) என்ற கருத்தியலை ஆழமாக ஆராய்ந்து எழுதியுள்ளார். பொருளாதாரத்தையும், தத்துவத்தையும் இணைத்த முதல் பொருளாதார நிபுணர் இவரே.
- உணவு உற்பத்தி மட்டும் போதாது. அதை வாங்கும் சக்தி மக்களுக்கு வேண்டும். பஞ்சம், வறட்சி ஏற்பட்டால் மக்களிடம் பணப்புழக்கத்தை அதிகரிக்கச் செய்ய வேண்டும். உணவுப் பொருட்கள் குறைந்த விலையில் கிடைக்க வேண்டும் என்றார் சென்.
- பொருளாதாரத் துறையில் இவரது பங்களிப்பை பாராட்டி, 1998ஆம் ஆண்டு நோபல் பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டது. பொருளாதாரம் தவிர, மனிதநேயம், சுற்றுச்சூழல் மேம்பாடு ஆகிய பல களங்களில் இவருடைய சேவைகளைப் பாராட்டி, பல நாடுகள் இவருக்கு ஏராளமான விருதுகளை வழங்கியுள்ளன. 1999ஆம் ஆண்டு இவருக்கு பாரத ரத்னா விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.
அன்னபூர்ணா மஹாராணா - Annapurna Maharana, Independence, Social and Women's Rights Activist :
✒️Annapurna Maharana, a freedom fighter and social reformer who fought for women's rights, was born on 3rd November 1917 in the state of Odisha. She had a great memory and memorized the entire Bhagavad Gita at the age of 12. Inspired by Gandhiji's ideals, she participated in the freedom struggle at the age of 14. She participated in the 'Salt March' in 1930 and went to jail for the first time. In 1934, she participated in the long Padayatra organized by Gandhiji. She went to jail many times, participating in several protests including 'Quit India Movement'. She has also participated in Vinoba Bhave's 'Bhoodan Movement'. She was awarded 'Sarala Puraskar' Award for her literary services. She was awarded an honorary doctorate by Utkal University. She was honored as Utkal Ratna. Annapurna Maharana passed away on 31st December 2012 after serving with devotion and patriotism to the Nation.
- விடுதலைப் போராட்ட வீராங்கனை மற்றும் பெண்கள் உரிமைக்காகப் போராடிய சமூக சீர்திருத்தவாதியான அன்னபூர்ணா மஹாராணா 1917ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 3ஆம் தேதி ஒடிசா மாநிலத்தில் பிறந்தார்.
- அபார நினைவாற்றல் கொண்ட இவர் 12 வயதிலேயே பகவத் கீதை முழுவதையும் மனப்பாடம் செய்துவிட்டார். காந்திஜியின் கொள்கைகளால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டு, 14 வயதிலேயே விடுதலைப் போராட்டத்தில் பங்கேற்றார்.
- 1930ஆம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்ற உப்பு சத்தியாகிரகத்தில் கலந்துகொண்டு முதன்முதலாக சிறை சென்றார். 1934ஆம் ஆண்டு காந்திஜி நடத்திய நீண்ட பாதயாத்திரையில் கலந்துகொண்டார். வெள்ளையனே வெளியேறு உள்ளிட்ட பல போராட்டங்களில் கலந்துகொண்டு பலமுறை சிறை சென்றார். இவர் வினோபா பாவேயின் பூமிதான இயக்கத்திலும் பங்கேற்று உள்ளார்.
- இவரது இலக்கிய சேவைகளுக்காக சரளா புரஸ்கார் விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது. உத்கல் பல்கலைக்கழகம் இவருக்கு கௌரவ டாக்டர் பட்டம் வழங்கியது. இவர் உத்கல் ரத்னா எனப் போற்றப்பட்டார்.
- அர்ப்பணிப்பு உணர்வுடனும், தேசபக்தியுடனும் சேவையாற்றிய அன்னபூர்ணா மஹாராணா 2012ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 31ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟 1838ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 3ஆம் தேதி பாம்பே டைம்ஸ் என்ற நாளிதழ் முதன்முதலில் வெளியிடப்பட்டது. பின்னர் 1861ஆம் ஆண்டு தி டைம்ஸ் ஆஃப் இந்தியா எனப் பெயரிடப்பட்டது - The Bombay Times was first published on 3rd November 1838. Later it was renamed as The Times of India in 1861.
🌟 1911ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 3ஆம் தேதி தமிழ் இலக்கியத்தின் முன்னோடி ஏ.கே.செட்டியார், திருவண்ணாமலைக்கு அருகிலுள்ள கோட்டையூரில் பிறந்தார் - On November 3, 1911, A.K.Chettiar, the pioneer of Tamil literature, was born at Kottaiyur near Tiruvannamalai.
🌟 ஜிக்கி (பில்லவாலு கஜபதி கிருஷ்ணவேணி), தெலுங்கு, தமிழ், கன்னடம், மலையாளம், ஹிந்தி மற்றும் சிங்கள மொழிகளில் 10,000 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பாடல்களைப் பாடிய இந்தியப் பின்னணிப் பாடகி, 1935 ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 3 ஆம் தேதி ஆந்திராவில் பிறந்தார் - Jikki (Pillavalu Gajapathy Krishnaveni), Indian playback singer who sang more than 10,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Sinhalese languages was born on 3rd November 1935 in Andhra Pradesh.
🌟 1957ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 3ஆம் தேதி உலகில் முதன்முதலில் மிருகம் ஒன்றை (லைக்கா என்னும் நாயை) சோவியத் ஒன்றியம் ஸ்புட்னிக் 2 விண்கலத்தில் விண்வெளிக்கு அனுப்பியது - On November 3, 1957, the Soviet Union sent the world's first animal (a dog named Laika) into space aboard Sputnik 2.
🌟 1973ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 3ஆம் தேதி நாசா, மரைனர் 10 என்ற விண்கலத்தை புதன் கோளை நோக்கி அனுப்பியது. 1974ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 29ஆம் தேதி அக்கோளை அடைந்த முதலாவது விண்கலம் இதுவாகும் - On November 3, 1973, NASA sent the spacecraft Mariner 10 to Mercury. It was the first spacecraft to reach Mercury on March 29, 1974.
