ஜானகி அம்மாள் - Janaki Ammal - Indian Botanist :
✒️Botanist and Geneticist Janaki Ammal was born on 4th November 1897 in Thalassery, Kerala. In 1945 she published a set of maps called Plant Chromosome Atlas in association with world renowned botanist Cyril Darlington. She worked as an associate geneticist at the John Innes Horticultural Institute in London. She returned to the country in 1951 accepting Jawaharlal Nehru's invitation to reorganize and consolidate the Botanical Survey of India. She also took charge as the Director General of Indian Botanical Society. She created several hybrid breeds. Her biophysical studies on sugarcane led to the development of many hybrid and genetic hybrids of sugarcane. In 1956, the University of Michigan awarded her an LL.D. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 1977. In 2000, a National Award for Taxonomy was established in her name. Janaki Ammal passed away in 1984 after a lifetime of accumulating knowledge of Indian herbalism.

- உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற தாவரவியலாளர் சிரில் டார்லிங்டன் உடன் இணைந்து தாவர குரோமோசோம் அட்லஸ் என்ற வரைபடத் தொகுப்பை 1945ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளியிட்டார். லண்டனில் உள்ள ஜான் இன்னஸ் தோட்டக்கலை நிறுவனத்தில் இணை மரபியலாளராகப் பணிபுரிந்தார்.
- இந்திய தாவரவியல் சர்வே அமைப்பை சீரமைத்து, ஒருங்கிணைப்பதற்காக ஜவஹர்லால் நேருவின் அழைப்பை ஏற்று 1951ஆம் ஆண்டு நாடு திரும்பினார். மேலும் இந்தியத் தாவரவியல் அமைப்பின் தலைமை இயக்குநராகப் பொறுப்பேற்றார்
- பல கலப்பு மரபின வகைகளை உருவாக்கினார். கரும்பு சம்பந்தமாக இவர் மேற்கொண்ட உயிர் கலவியல் ஆய்வுகள் பல சிறப்பினக் கலப்பு, மரபினக் கலப்பு வகை கரும்புகளையும் உருவாக்க வழிவகுத்தன.
- 1956ஆம் ஆண்டு மிச்சிகன் பல்கலைக்கழகம் இவருக்கு எல்எல்டி பட்டம் வழங்கியது. 1977ஆம் ஆண்டு பத்மஸ்ரீ விருது பெற்றார். 2000-ஆம் ஆண்டில் வகைப்பாட்டியலுக்கான தேசிய விருது இவரது பெயரில் நிறுவப்பட்டது.
- இந்தியப் பாரம்பரிய தாவரவியல் பற்றிய அறிவை திரட்டும் பணியில் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் ஈடுபட்ட ஜானகி அம்மாள் 1984ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 7ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

✒️Indian female mathematician Shakuntala Devi was born on 4th November, 1929 in Bangalore, Karnataka. On June 18, 1980, he surprised the world by multiplying two 13-digit numbers (i.e.7,686,369,774,870 × 2,465,099,745,779 = 18,947,668,177,995,426,462,773,730) in just 28 seconds at an event held at Imperial College, London. This answer is a number with 26 digits. It is listed in the "Guinness Book" as a world record. "The Book of Numbers", "Perfect Murder", "Figuring, The Joy of Numbers", "In the Wonderland of Numbers", "Astrology for You" are her famous books. Shakuntala Devi, popularly known as "Human Computer" passed away on 21st April, 2013.
- இந்திய பெண் கணித மேதையான சகுந்தலா தேவி 1929ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 4ஆம் தேதி கர்நாடகா மாநிலத்திலுள்ள பெங்களூரில் பிறந்தார்.
