சர்வதேச சகிப்புத்தன்மை தினம் - International Day for Tolerance :
✒️International Day of Tolerance is observed on 16th November. It was created in 1995 by UNESCO, a part of the United Nations, to promote education, science and culture. It is observed in today's society to create awareness about the dangers of intolerance and to emphasize the need for non-violence and tolerance.
- சர்வதேச சகிப்புத்தன்மை தினம் நவம்பர் 16ஆம் தேதி கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. கல்வி, அறிவியல் மற்றும் கலாச்சாரம் ஆகியவற்றை வளர்க்க, ஐ.நா.வின் ஓர் அங்கமான யுனெஸ்கோ (UNESCO) நிறுவனம் 1995ஆம் ஆண்டு இத்தினத்தை உருவாக்கியது.
- இன்றைய மக்களிடையே சகிப்புத்தன்மை இல்லாததால் ஏற்படும் ஆபத்துக்கள் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையிலும், அகிம்சை, சகிப்புத்தன்மையின் அவசியத்தை வலியுறுத்தும் வகையிலும் இத்தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.

ஜோஸ் டிசோஸா சரமாகூ - Jose de Sousa Saramago - Portuguese Writer & Nobel Laureate :
✒️He was born on 16th November 1922, in the village of Azinhaga in the Portugal. His first book "Land of Sin" was published in 1947. In the late 1950s he began working for a book publishing company, which introduced him to famous writers. In 1966 he published a book of poetry "The Possible Poems", followed by "Probably Joy", "This World and the Other", and "The Traveller's Package". His novel "Baltasar and Blimunda" has gained worldwide recognition and readership. The novel won the Portuguese Penn Club Award. In 1980 he wrote numerous works, including novels, short story collections, and plays. His world-famous novel "Blindness" was published in 1995. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1998. José De Sousa Saramago died on 18th June 2010.
- இலக்கியத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு பெற்ற போர்ச்சுக்கீசிய எழுத்தாளர் ஜோஸ் டிசோஸா சரமாகூ 1922ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 16ஆம் தேதி போர்ச்சுக்கல் நாட்டின் அசின்ஹாகா என்ற கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார்.
- இவரது முதல் நூலான 'லேண்ட் ஆஃப் சின்" (Land of Sin) 1947ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளியானது. 1950ஆம் ஆண்டின் இறுதியில் புத்தக வெளியீட்டு நிறுவனத்தில் பணியாற்றத் தொடங்கினார். இதன் மூலம் இவருக்கு பிரபல எழுத்தாளர்களின் அறிமுகம் கிடைத்தது.
- இவர் 1966ஆம் ஆண்டு 'பாஸிபிள் போயம்ஸ்" (Possible Poems) என்ற கவிதை நூலை வெளியிட்டார். தொடர்ந்து, 'பிராபப்ளி ஜாய்" (Probably Joy), 'திஸ் வேர்ல்டு அண்டு தி அதர்" (This World and The Other), 'டிராவலர்ஸ் பேக்கேஜ்" (The Travellers Baggage) ஆகிய நூல்களையும் வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்.
- இவர் எழுதிய "பால்டாஸர் அண்ட் ப்ளிமுண்டா" (Baltasar and Blimunda) என்ற நாவல் உலக அளவில் அங்கீகாரத்தையும், வாசகர்களையும் பெற்றுத் தந்தது. இந்த நாவலுக்கு போர்ச்சுக்கீசிய பென் கிளப் விருது கிடைத்தது. 1980ஆம் ஆண்டில் நாவல்கள், சிறுகதைத் தொகுப்பு, நாடகங்கள் என ஏராளமான படைப்புகளை எழுதினார்.
- இவருடைய உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற நாவலான 'பிளைண்ட்னஸ்" (Blindness) 1995ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்தது. 1998ஆம் ஆண்டு இவர் இலக்கியத்திற்காக நோபல் பரிசை பெற்றார். ஜோஸ் டிசோஸா சரமாகூ 2010ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுன் 18ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
