Sourav Ganguly - God of Off Side

சௌரவ் கங்குலி - Sourav Chandidas Ganguly - Former Indian Cricketer - Former President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India :

✒️Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav  was born on 8th July 1972 in Calcutta. He is fondly called the God of the Off Side as he is adept at hitting balls on the right sides. He was the captain of the Indian cricket team from 2000 to 2005 and scored more than ten thousand runs in ODIs. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2004. He retired from international competitions in 2008. He has also served as the Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

• இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் அணியின் முன்னாள் தலைவர் சௌரவ் கங்குலி 1972ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 8ஆம் தேதி கல்கத்தாவில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவர் வலது புறங்களில் பந்துகளை அடிப்பதில் சிறந்தவர். அதனால் இவர் காட் ஆஃப் தெ ஆஃப் சைட் (God of the Off Side) என அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்.

• இவர் 2000ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் 2005ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் அணியின் தலைவராக இருந்தார். இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் கட்டுப்பாட்டு வாரியத் தலைவராக‌வும் பதவி வகித்துள்ளார். ஒருநாள் போட்டிகளில் பத்தாயிரத்திற்கும் அதிகமான ஓட்டங்களை எடுத்துள்ளார்.

• 2004ஆம் ஆண்டு பத்மஸ்ரீ விருது இவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது. இவர் 2008ஆம் ஆண்டு சர்வதேச போட்டிகளிலிருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்றார்.

🌟 2007ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 8ஆம் தேதி முன்னாள் இந்திய பிரதமர் சந்திரசேகர் மறைந்தார் - Former Indian Prime Minister Chandrasekhar passed away on 8th July, 2007. (served as Prime Minister from 10 November 1990 to 21 June 1991).

🌟 1949ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 8ஆம் தேதி ஆந்திரப் பிரதேசத்தின் முன்னாள் முதலமைச்சரான ராஜசேகர ரெட்டி பிறந்தார் - Rajasekhara Reddy, Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh was born on 8th July 1949. A humanitarian who did countless welfare programs for the public while he was C M and never lost any election in his political career, the humanitarian died tragically in a helicopter accident on 2 September 2009.

🌟 1497ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 8ஆம் தேதி வாஸ்கோடகாமா, இந்தியாவுக்கான முதல் நேரடிப் பயணத்தை துவங்கினார் - On 8th July 1497, Vasco da Gama embarked on the first direct voyage to India.

🌟 1920ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 8ஆம் தேதி ஓய்வுபெற்ற இந்திய ஆட்சிப் பணியாளரான சந்திரிகா பிரசாத் ஸ்ரீவஸ்தவா பிறந்தார் - Chandrika Prasad Srivastava, a retired Indian civil servant, was born on 8th July, 1920.

🌟 1895ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 8ஆம் தேதி சோவியத் ரஷ்யாவை சேர்ந்த இயற்பியலாளரும், நோபல் பரிசு பெற்றவருமான இகார் டேம் பிறந்தார் - Igor Tamm, a physicist and Nobel laureate from Soviet Russia, was born on 8th July, 1895.
