உலக மிதிவண்டி தினம் - World Bicycle Day - Bicycles which is used for transportation today are being destroyed by the dominance of motorcycles. World Bicycle Day is celebrated annually on June 3 in an effort to restore it :
- போக்குவரத்திற்கு பயன்பட்ட சைக்கிள்கள் இன்று மோட்டார் சைக்கிள்களின் ஆதிக்கத்தால் அழிவைச் சந்தித்து வருகிறது. அதனை மீண்டும் மீட்டெடுக்கும் முயற்சியாக ஆண்டுதோறும் ஜூன் 3ம் தேதி உலக மிதிவண்டி தினமாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
கலைஞர் மு.கருணாநிதி - Muthuvel Karunanidhi - Writer - Politician - Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu (Served as Chief Minister for almost two decades over five terms between 1969 and 2011 - Undefeated man, he won all his contested 13 elections) :
- தமிழ்நாட்டின் முன்னாள் முதல்வரான டாக்டர் மு.கருணாநிதி 1924ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 3ஆம் தேதி நாகப்பட்டினம் மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள திருக்குவளை என்ற கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார்.
- இவர் சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே தமிழ் இலக்கியத்தின் மீது ஆர்வம் கொண்டிருந்தார். தமிழ் திரையுலகில் திரைப்படங்களுக்கு வசனங்கள் எழுதுவதை தவிர பல்வேறு கவிதைகள், புத்தகங்கள், வரலாற்று நாவல்கள், நாடகங்கள், கட்டுரைகள் போன்றவற்றையும் எழுதியிருக்கிறார்.
- 'தூக்குமேடை" நாடகத்தின் போது எம்.ஆர்.ராதா இவருக்கு 'கலைஞர்" என்ற பட்டம் அளித்தார். பின்பு அதுவே நிலைத்து விட்டது. இவர் திரைக்கதை எழுதிய பராசக்தி, மனோகரா, மருதநாட்டு இளவரசி, மந்திரிகுமாரி போன்ற படங்கள் மிகவும் பிரபலம் பெற்றது.
- இவர் தன்னுடைய 14வது வயதில் நீதிக்கட்சி தலைவர்களில் ஒருவரான அழகிரிசாமியின் பேச்சின்பால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டு அரசியலில் ஈடுபட்டார். தான் களம் கண்ட 13 தேர்தல்களிலும் போட்டியிட்டு அனைத்திலும் வென்றுள்ளார். தமிழகத்தின் முதல்வராக இவர் ஐந்துமுறை பதவி வகித்துள்ளார்.
- கலைஞர் அவர்கள் கொண்டு வந்த முக்கிய நலத்திட்டங்கள் :
- மனிதர்களை மனிதனே இழுத்துச் செல்லும் வகையிலான கைரிக்ஷாக்கள் ஒழிப்பு, குடிசைகளில் வாழ்வோருக்கு நிரந்தர வீடுகள் கட்டித் தருவதற்காக குடிசை மாற்று வாரியம் அமைத்து, அடுக்குமாடி வீடுகள் கட்டித் தரப்பட்டது, மாநில முதல்வர்களுக்கு கொடி ஏற்றும் உரிமை வழங்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று குரல் கொடுத்து, பெற்று தந்தவர் கலைஞர் கருணாநிதி. சிறு மற்றும் குறு விவசாயிகளின் பாசன வசதிக்காக மின்மோட்டார்களுக்கு இலவச மின்சாரம் வழங்கும் திட்டம் 1989ல் நடை முறைக்கு கொண்டு வந்தவர். அரசு நிகழ்ச்சிகளின் தொடக்கத்தில் தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்து, பார்வையற்றோருக்கு அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்து கண்ணாடிகள் வழங்கும் கண்ணொளி திட்டம், பிச்சைக் காரர்கள் மற்றும் தொழுநோயாளிகளின் மறுவாழ்வுக்காக இரவலர் இல்லங்கள் அமைத்தது, இந்தியாவிலேயே முதன்முறையாக கோவையில் வேளாண் பல்கலைக்கழகம், பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட சமுதாயத்தினருக்கென தனி அமைச்சரவை, நில உச்சவரம்பு சட்டம், விவசாயத் தொழிலாளர்களுக்கான கூலி நிர்ணயம் , உயர் படிப்பு வரை மாணவர்களுக்கு இலவசக் கல்வி, விதவைகள் மறுமணத்திற்கு நிதியுதவி, கலப்பு மணத் தம்பதிகளுக்கு ஊக்கத் தொகை ஆகியவை கருணாநிதி தலைமையிலான திமுக அரசின் முக்கியமான மக்கள் நலத் திட்டங்கள் ஆகும்.
- மூத்த அரசியல் தலைவர்களுள் ஒருவரான இவர் 2018ஆம் ஆண்டு மறைந்தார்.

🌟 1657ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 3ஆம் தேதி இரத்த ஓட்டத்தை கண்டுபிடித்து கூறிய இங்கிலாந்து மருத்துவர் வில்லியம் ஹார்வி மறைந்தார் - William Harvey, a British physician who discovered blood flow was died on June 3, 1657. He made important commitments in life systems and physiology. He was the primary known doctor to portray totally, and exhaustively, the fundamental flow and properties of blood being pumped to the brain and the remainder of the body by the heart, however prior scholars, like Realdo Colombo, Michael Servetus, and Jacques Dubois, had given antecedents of the hypothesis
🌟 2009ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 3ஆம் தேதி தமிழறிஞரான இரா.திருமுருகன் மறைந்தார் - R.Thirumurugan, a Tamil scholar, passed away on June 3, 2009. He is one of the notable Tamil scholars of the twentieth century. Excellent in flute playing and vocals. He worked as a tamil teacher in Puducherry Government School. He is interested in Grammatical and Musical Tamil. He has written numerous books on grammar, literary study, Tamil Music, Songwriting, Place Name Research book, Tamil textbooks, etc.
🌟 1889ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 3ஆம் தேதி முதன்முதலில் மின்சாரம் அதிக தூரம் (அமெரிக்காவின் வில்லாமிட்டி அருவியில் இருந்து 23 கி.மீ. தூரத்தில் உள்ள ஓரகன் என்னுமிடத்தில் போர்ட்லாண்ட் பகுதிக்கு) எடுத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டது - On June 3, 1889, electricity was first carried over long distances (to Portland, Oregon, 23 km from Willamite Falls, USA).
