On August 20, 1897, a scientist named Sir Ronald Ross discovered that the "Anopheles" mosquitoes transmit malaria fever, "Aedes aegypti" mosquitoes transmit dengue virus, yellow fever virus, chikungunya virus, and Zika virus, "Culex" mosquitoes transmit elephantiasis, and "JE" mosquitoes spreads Japanese encephalitis.
