உலக கலாச்சார பன்முகத் தன்மையின் முன்னேற்ற தினம் - World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development :

✒️ This day helps us to know ancient history and customs and one can know the culture of a group, race, country. The UN General Assembly passed a resolution in November 2001 and it thereby declared May 21 as World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.

• கலாச்சாரம் என்பது பழங்கால வரலாற்றையும், பழக்க வழக்கங்களையும் அறிந்துகொள்ள நமக்கு உதவுகிறது. மேலும் ஒரு குழுவின், இனத்தின், நாட்டின் கலாச்சாரத்தை அறிந்துகொள்ள முடிகிறது.

• ஐ.நா.பொதுச்சபை 2001ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் மாதத்தில் ஒரு தீர்மானத்தைக் கொண்டுவந்தது. அதன்மூலம் மே 21ஆம் தேதியை உலக கலாச்சார பன்முகத் தன்மையின் முன்னேற்ற தினமாக அறிவித்தது.

மேரி அன்னிங் - Mary Anning - Fossil Collector - Dealer - Palaeontologist :

✒️Archaeologist Mary Anning was born on May 21, 1799 in Dorset, England, who was responsible for the development of the new scientific field of fossil research. From her childhood, she would go with her father to collect fossils like "Oysters" and "Conch shells". Mary also gradually became skilled at collecting many rare artifacts, including the bones of ancient animals. In 1823, she discovered the first complete skeleton of a rare animal called "Plesiosaurs". After that she found a dragon bone and the skeleton of a rare fish called "Squaloraja". Her name is also included in the list of ten women who contributed to the development of science in Britain. Mary Anning, the accomplished women who made ancient history known to future generations, died on March 9, 1847.

✒️புதைபடிம ஆராய்ச்சி என்ற புதிய அறிவியல் துறை உருவாக காரணமாக இருந்த தொல்பொருள் ஆய்வாளர் மேரி அன்னிங் 1799ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 21ஆம் தேதி இங்கிலாந்தின் டோர்செட் நகரில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவர் சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே புதைபடிமங்களான சிப்பி, சங்குகளை சேகரிக்க தந்தையுடன் செல்வார். அதனால் பண்டைய விலங்குகளின் எலும்புகள் உட்பட பல அரிய வகை தொல்படிமங்களை சேகரிப்பதில் மெல்ல மெல்ல மேரியும் திறமை பெற்றார்.

• 1823ஆம் ஆண்டு முதன்முதலாக ப்ளிசியோசரஸ் என்ற அரிய விலங்கின் முழு எலும்புக்கூட்டை கண்டறிந்தார். அதன் பிறகு டிராகான் எலும்பு, ஸ்கொலராஜா என்ற அரிய வகை மீனின் எலும்புக்கூட்டையும் கண்டுபிடித்தார். பிரித்தானியாவில் அறிவியல் வளர்ச்சிக்குப் பாடுபட்ட பத்து பெண்களின் பட்டியலில் இவரது பெயரும் சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• பழைய சரித்திரத்தை எதிர்வரும் சந்ததிகள் அறிந்துகொள்ள வழியமைத்துக் கொடுத்த சாதனை மங்கையான மேரி அன்னிங் 1847ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 9ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

✒️Anti-terrorism Day is observed on 21st May in India in remembrance of India's Former President Rajiv Gandhi's Assassination and also to raise awareness about terrorism and violence and the way it affects the common people. And also to spreading the message of peace and humanity, promotion of unity among the people, providing education and training opportunities to youngsters to prevent them from joining terrorist groups amongst are the important objects of the day.

• 1991ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 21ஆம் தேதி நடந்த இந்திய முன்னாள் பிரதமர் ராஜீவ் காந்தியின் படுகொலையை நினைவுகூரும் வகையிலும், பயங்கரவாதம் மற்றும் வன்முறை மற்றும் அது சாமானிய மக்களைப் பாதிக்கும் விதம் குறித்தும் விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக மே 21ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவில் பயங்கரவாத எதிர்ப்பு தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. மேலும் அமைதி மற்றும் மனிதாபிமானத்தின் செய்தியைப் பரப்புதல், மக்களிடையே ஒற்றுமையை மேம்படுத்துதல், இளைஞர்கள் பயங்கரவாதக் குழுக்களில் சேர்வதைத் தடுக்க கல்வி மற்றும் பயிற்சி வாய்ப்புகளை வழங்குதல் ஆகியவை அன்றைய தினத்தின் முக்கிய நோக்கங்களாகும்.
