நீதிபதி தீபக் மிஸ்ரா - Justice Dipak Misra :

✒️Justice Dipak Misra, Indian jurist who served as the 45th Chief Justice of India (from 28 August 2017 till 2 October 2018), was born on 3rd October today. Few of his Notable Judgments are "to upload FIR on website within 24 hours", "Nirbhaya Case", " Decriminalization of Section 377 IPC", "Struck Down of 497 IPC".
  • இந்தியாவின் 45வது தலைமை நீதிபதியாக (28 ஆகஸ்ட் 2017 முதல் 2 அக்டோபர் 2018 வரை) பணியாற்றிய இந்திய நீதிபதி தீபக் மிஸ்ரா இன்று 1953ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 3ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார். அவரது குறிப்பிடத்தக்க தீர்ப்புகளில் சில "24 மணி நேரத்திற்குள் எஃப்ஐஆர் இணையதளத்தில் பதிவேற்றம்", "நிர்பயா வழக்கு", "இதச பிரிவு 377 குற்றவியல் நீக்கம்", "இதச பிரிவு 497 தடை" உள்ளிட்டவையாகும்.

உலக வசிப்பிட நாள் - World Habitat Day :

✒️The day is an event observed worldwide on the first Monday of October every year. This day was declared as a special day by the United Nations and was observed for the first time in 1986. The purpose of the day is to emphasize the importance of providing adequate shelter along with basic human rights in our cities. It also emphasizes the collective responsibility of reminding future generations of the need for habitat. (This year i-e 2023 World Habitat Day falls on 2nd October).

  • இந்நாளானது ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் அக்டோபர் மாதத்தின் முதல் திங்கட்கிழமை உலகம் முழுவதும் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படும் ஒரு நிகழ்வாகும். இந்நாள் ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் அவையினால் சிறப்பு நாளாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு முதன் முதலாக 1986 ஆம் ஆண்டில் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்டது. இந்நாளின் நோக்கம் நமது நகரங்களில் அடிப்படை மனித உரிமைகளுடன் போதுமான தங்குமிட வசதிகளை ஏற்படுத்திக் கொடுப்பதன் முக்கியத்துவத்தை வலியுறுத்துவதாகும். வாழ்விடத்தின் அவசியம் குறித்து எதிர்காலத் தலைமுறையினருக்கு ஞாபகப்படுத்தும் கூட்டுப் பொறுப்பையும் இது வலியுறுத்துகிறது. (இந்த வருடம் 2023-ல், உலக வசிப்பிட தினம் அக்டோபர் 2ஆம் தேதி வருகிறது).

உலக இயற்கை தினம் - World Nature Day :

✒️World Nature Day is celebrated around the world on 3rd October and is dedicated to raising awareness about the natural world and the importance of preserving and protecting our environment.
  • உலக இயற்கை தினம் அக்டோபர் 3 ஆம் தேதி உலகம் முழுவதும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது, இந்நாள் இயற்கை உலகம் மற்றும் நமது சுற்றுச்சூழலைப் பாதுகாத்தல் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பதன் முக்கியத்துவத்தைப் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வைக் ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Ma.Po.Si - Freedom Fighter

ம.பொ.சிவஞானம் - Mylai Ponnuswamy Sivagnanam (Ma.Po.Si) - Indian Politician - Freedom Fighter (Founder of the Political Party Tamil Arasu Kazhagam) :

✒️Today is his memorial day!

✒️Freedom fighter and great Tamil scholar Ma.Po.Sivagnanam was born on June 26, 1906 at Thousand Lights at Chennai. He has written numerous books including "Vallalarum Bharathiyum" (Vallalar and Bharati), "Engal Kavi Bharathi" (Our Poet Bharati), "Silappathikaramum Thamizharum" (Silappathikaram and Tamil), and "Kannagi Vazhipadu" (Kannagi Worship). Tamil scholar R.P.Sethupillai gave him the title of "Silambu Selvar" in appreciation of his knowledge in Silappathikaram. He ran a weekly magazine called "Sengol". He won the Sahitya Akademi Award for his book "Vallalar Kanda Orumaipadu" (Vallalar's Vision of Integrity). He was instrumental in changing the name of Madras State to Tamil Nadu. He is also a Padma Shri awardee. Ma.Po.Si.,who used to proclaim that "Udal Mannukku Uyir Thamizhukku" (Body to soil, life to Tamil), was died on 3rd October,1995.

  • விடுதலைப் போராட்ட வீரரும், சிறந்த தமிழறிஞருமான ம.பொ.சிவஞானம் 1906ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 26ஆம் தேதி சென்னை ஆயிரம் விளக்குப் பகுதியில் உள்ள சால்வன்குப்பம் என்ற இடத்தில் பிறந்தார். 

  • வள்ளலாரும் பாரதியும், எங்கள் கவி பாரதி, சிலப்பதிகாரமும் தமிழரும், கண்ணகி வழிபாடு உட்பட ஏராளமான நூல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். சிலப்பதிகாரத்தில் இவரது புலமையைப் பாராட்டி தமிழ் அறிஞர் ரா.பி.சேதுப்பிள்ளை இவருக்கு சிலம்புச் செல்வர் என்ற பட்டத்தை சூட்டினார்.

  • இவர் செங்கோல் என்ற ஒரு வார இதழை நடத்தி வந்தார். இவர் எழுதிய வள்ளலார் கண்ட ஒருமைப்பாடு என்ற நூலுக்கு சாகித்ய அகாடமி விருது கிடைத்தது. மெட்ராஸ் ஸ்டேட் என்ற பெயரை தமிழ்நாடு என்று மாற்றியதில் இவர் முக்கிய பங்காற்றியவர். மேலும், இவர் பத்மஸ்ரீ விருதையும் பெற்றவர்.

  • உடல் மண்ணுக்கு உயிர் தமிழுக்கு என்று முழங்கிய ம.பொ.சி., 1995ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 3ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

ஜான் கோரி - John B.Gorrie - Physician - Scientist - Inventor of Mechanical Refrigeration :

✒️John Gorrie, who is regarded as the father of refrigeration technology (air conditioning), was born on October 3, 1803 in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. He was interested in social services and business. He also engaged in research on tropical diseases. Solved health problems. He published several articles on malaria, methods of cooling rooms, and ice production. His articles have appeared in popular scientific journals. After years of research, he discovered a steam-powered device that could create ice cubes and cool a room. Most of the current air conditioning technology is based on the refrigeration principles he first discovered. He is credited with inventing the first refrigeration machine, ice maker, and air conditioning equipment. John Gorrie, who was humane to the last, was died on 29th June, 1855.

  • குளிர்பதனத் தொழில்நுட்பத்தின் (ஏர் கண்டிஷன்) தந்தை என்று போற்றப்படும் ஜான் கோரி 1803ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 3ஆம் தேதி அமெரிக்காவின் தெற்கு கரோலினா மாநிலம் சார்லஸ்டன் நகரில் பிறந்தார்.

  • சமுதாய சேவைகள் மற்றும் வர்த்தகங்களில் நாட்டம் செலுத்தினார். வெப்ப மண்டல நோய்கள் குறித்த ஆராய்ச்சியிலும் ஈடுபட்டார். சுகாதார பிரச்சனைகளுக்கு தீர்வு கண்டார். 

  • மலேரியா, அறைகளை குளிரூட்டும் முறைகள், பனிக்கட்டி உற்பத்தி தொடர்பாக பல கட்டுரைகளை வெளியிட்டு வந்தார். இவரது கட்டுரைகள் பிரபல அறிவியல் இதழ்களில் வெளிவந்தன.
  • பல ஆண்டுகால ஆராய்ச்சிக்குப் பிறகு, பனிக்கட்டிகளை உருவாக்கி அறையைக் குளிரூட்டக்கூடிய நீராவியில் இயங்கும் கருவியைக் கண்டறிந்தார்.

  • தற்போதைய அனைத்து விதமான ஏர் கண்டிஷன் கருவிகளின் பெரும்பாலான நுட்பங்கள், முதன்முதலாக இவர் கண்டறிந்த குளிரூட்டும் கோட்பாடுகளை அடிப்படையாக கொண்டவையே. குளிர்பதன இயந்திரம், பனிக்கட்டி தயாரிக்கும் வழிமுறை, ஏர் கண்டிஷன் கருவிகளை முதன்முதலில் உருவாக்கியவர் என்ற பெருமையைப் பெற்றார்.

  • கடைசி வரை மனிதநேயத்துடன் விளங்கிய ஜான் கோரி, உடல்நலம் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு 1855ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுன் 29ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
