✒️India's Pride, Indian tennis player Sania Mirza was born on 15th November 1986 in Mumbai.
- Sania Mirza started playing tennis at an early age. She has been ranked as India's Leading Tennis Player by the Women's Tennis Association since 2003.
- She won mixed doubles titles alongwith Mahesh Bhupathi on 2009 in Australian Open and 2012 in French Open and also she won the mixed doubles title alongwith Bruno Soares of Brazil at the 2014 US Open tennis tournament.
- She topped the women's doubles category after winning the doubles title with Martina Hingis at the April 2015 Family Cup Tennis Tournament. She has won six Grand Slam titles in her career. She is the highest-ranked female player ever from India, peaking at world No. 27 in the year 2007.
- In 2004, she was awarded the Arjuna Award, Padma shri in 2006 and Padma bhushan in the year 2016 by the Government of India.
- In July 2016, Sania Mirza published an autobiography titled "Ace Against Odds" chronicling her journey to the top. The book also lists some of her memorable encounters on and off the court and talks about the people and relationships that have contributed to Mirza's growth as a person and a sportsperson.
- In the month of february 2023, Sania Mirza retires from professional Tennis after played 20 years for the country.
