World Hello Day - Egypt & Israel (21st November)

World Hello Day - Egypt & Israel - a brief overview :

✒️In 1973, both Egypt and Israel ended their war. Following the end of the war on this day, the two countries said hello on November 21. World Hello Day is celebrated on November 21st with the aim that everyone should be involved in the effort for world peace.

✒️World Hello Day was started in 1973 by brothers Brian and Michael McCormack as a reaction to the Egypt-Israel (Yom Kippur War) conflict.

✒️The McCormack brothers mailed over 1300 letters to government leaders around the world to encourage participation in the first World Hello Day in 1973. Since then, 180 countries have observed the day.

✒️The first use of 'hello' in print was observed in 1826 in an edition of the Norwich Courier in Norwich, Connecticut.

✒️According to Merriam-Webster, the use of 'hello' as a telephone greeting is attributed to Thomas Edison. In 1877, Edison wrote to the president of the Central District and Printing Telegraph company of Pittsburgh explaining that hello would serve as a good greeting.

✒️In order to honour this day and bring up harmony and peace in the peoples mind, we must try to say hello to 10 different people and we must try to learn to say hello in another language.

✒️At least now we try to say hello by using two different countries language. In Spanish Language "Hello" means "Hola" and in Tamil Language "hello" means "வணக்கம்" (Vanakkam).
