இந்திய ராணுவ தினம் - Indian Army Day :

✒️Every year 15th January is celebrated as Indian Army Day. The reason why this day was chosen as Army Day was that India's first Army Chief, General K.M.Cariappa assumed office on 15th January 1949. Before that, the British were the generals. He served the country selflessly till his last breath in his military career.

• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜனவரி 15ஆம் தேதி இந்திய ராணுவ தினமாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இந்த நாளை ராணுவ தினமாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்ததற்கு காரணம் இந்தியாவின் முதல் ராணுவ தளபதியாக ஜெனரல் கே.எம்.கரியப்பா 1949ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 15ஆம் தேதிதான் பதவி ஏற்றார். அதற்கு முன்புவரை பிரிட்டிஷ்காரர்களே தளபதிகளாக இருந்து வந்தார்கள். இவர் ராணுவ வாழ்க்கையில் தனது இறுதி மூச்சு வரை நாட்டிற்காக தன்னலமற்ற சேவை புரிந்தவர்.

Martin Luther King - Activist

மார்ட்டின் லூதர் கிங் - Martin Luther King - American Baptist Minister and Activist :

✒️Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on 15th January 1929 in Atlanta, USA, the first voice in the United States to abolish slavery and apartheid. He is considered a national symbol in American progressive history because he led non-violent charitable struggles in the Gandhian way. The 1964 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Martin Luther King. The world famous Civil Rights Activist King was assassinated on 4th April 1968 and he is buried within Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park. His famous Speech "I Have a Dream" is still revolving all over the world.

• அமெரிக்காவில் அடிமை முறையையும், நிற வேறுபாட்டையும் ஒழிக்க முதன் முதலாகக் குரல் கொடுத்த மார்ட்டின் லூதர் கிங் 1929ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 15ஆம் தேதி அமெரிக்காவில் அட்லாண்டா நகரில் பிறந்தார். இவர் காந்திய வழியில் வன்முறையற்ற அறப்போராட்டங்களை நடத்தியதால், அமெரிக்க முற்போக்கு வரலாற்றில் ஒரு தேசிய சின்னமாகக் கருதப்படுகிறார். 1964ஆம் ஆண்டு அமைதிக்கான நோபல் பரிசு, மார்ட்டின் லூதர் கிங்குக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது. உலகம் முழுவதும் புகழ்பெற்ற மார்ட்டின் லூதர் கிங் 1968ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 4ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

எட்வர்டு டெல்லர் - Edward Teller - Hungarian-American Theoretical physicist (Father of the Hydrogen Bomb) :

✒️American physicist Edward Teller, known as the father of the hydrogen bomb, was born on January 15, 1908 in Budapest, Hungary. He earned a doctorate in physics and went to Denmark to study atomism with scientist Niels Bohr. He carried out various researches on nuclear physics and thermonuclear motions along with scientific genius George Gomow. The hydrogen bomb developed with his major contribution was successfully tested in the Pacific Ocean in 1952. He has received various awards including the prestigious Presidential Medal of Freedom. Edward Teller, who was engaged in various researches until the end, died on September 9, 2003.

• ஹைட்ரஜன் குண்டின் தந்தை என்று அழைக்கப்படும் அமெரிக்க இயற்பியல் ஆராய்ச்சியாளர் எட்வர்டு டெல்லர் 1908ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 15ஆம் தேதி ஹங்கேரி தலைநகர் புடாபெஸ்ட்டில் பிறந்தார். இவர் இயற்பியலில் முனைவர் பட்டம் பெற்று, டென்மார்க்கு சென்று விஞ்ஞானி நீல்ஸ் போரிடம் அணுவியல் குறித்து கற்றார். இவர் விஞ்ஞான மேதை ஜார்ஜ் காமோவுடன் இணைந்து அணுக்கரு இயற்பியல், தெர்மோ நியூக்ளியர் இயக்கங்கள் பற்றி பல்வேறு ஆராய்ச்சிகளை மேற்கொண்டார். இவரது முக்கிய பங்களிப்புடன் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட ஹைட்ரஜன் குண்டு 1952ஆம் ஆண்டு பசிபிக் கடல் பகுதியில் வெற்றிகரமாக சோதிக்கப்பட்டது. இவர் கௌரவம் வாய்ந்த, பிரசிடென்ட் மெடல் ஆஃப் ஃப்ரீடம் உட்பட பல்வேறு விருதுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளார். இறுதிவரை பல்வேறு ஆராய்ச்சிகளில் ஈடுபட்டுவந்த எட்வர்டு டெல்லர் 2003ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 9ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟 1981ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 15ஆம் தேதி தமிழறிஞர் தேவநேயப் பாவாணர் மறைந்தார் - Tamil scholar devaneya Paavanaar was passed away on 15th January 1981.
