டயேன் ஃபாசி - Dian Fossey - American Primatologist and Conservationist :
✒️American zoologist Dian Fossey was born on January 16, 1932 in California. She lived with gorillas in the African country of Rwanda for a long time and compiled detailed notes about gorillas. She encouraged by the famous biologist Louis Leakey and studied gorillas. Her studies were as pioneering as Jane Goodall's rare study of chimpanzees. She passed away on 26th December, 1985.
- அமெரிக்க விலங்கியலாளர் டயேன் ஃபாசி 1932ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 16ஆம் தேதி கலிபோர்னியாவில் பிறந்தார்.
- இவர் நீண்டகாலமாக ஆப்பிரிக்காவில் உள்ள ருவாண்டா நாட்டில் கொரில்லாக்களோடு வாழ்ந்து, கொரில்லாவை பற்றிய நுணுக்கமான குறிப்புகளைத் தொகுத்து வந்தார்.
- புகழ்பெற்ற உயிரின ஆய்வாளராகிய லூயி லீக்கி என்பவரால் ஊக்குவிக்கப்பட்டு இவர் கொரில்லாவை பற்றிய ஆய்வுகளை செய்து வந்தார். இவருடைய ஆய்வுகள் ஜேன் குட்டால், சிம்பன்சி பற்றி நடத்திய அரிய ஆய்வைப்போல முதன்மையானது. இவர் 1985ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 26ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

✒️Today is Ananda Ranga Pillai's memorial day!
✒️Ananda Ranga Pillai, who recorded history through his diary, was born on March 30, 1709 in Perambur, Chennai. He used to do many jobs. He is in the habit of jotting down daily happenings in the country. Proficient in many languages, he acted as a bridge between the Indian kings and the French. He kept writing a diary for almost 25 years. His diary is an important historical record of 18th century social changes, political events, victories and defeats of French forces, Persian invasion of Delhi, harsh punishments given to criminals, maritime trade, foreign travelers to India. After 85 years of his demise, his diaries were found. He died on January 16, 1761, compared to the famous English diarist Samuel Pepys, who was the pioneer of the world diary movement, and was hailed as the "Pepys of India" and the chancellor of diaries. - இன்று இவரின் நினைவு தினம்!
- நாட்குறிப்பு மூலம் வரலாற்றை பதிவு செய்தவரான ஆனந்தரங்கம் பிள்ளை 1709ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 30ஆம் தேதி சென்னை பெரம்பூரில் பிறந்தார்.
- இவர் பல தொழில்களை செய்து வந்தார். தினசரி நடக்கும் நாட்டு நிகழ்வுகளைக் குறிப்புகளாக எழுதிவைக்கும் பழக்கம் கொண்டவர். பல மொழிகளில் புலமை கொண்ட இவர் இந்திய மன்னர்கள், பிரெஞ்சுக்காரர்கள் இடையே பாலமாக விளங்கினார்.
- ஏறக்குறைய 25 ஆண்டுகாலம் நாட்குறிப்பு எழுதியுள்ளார். 18-ம் நூற்றாண்டின் சமூக மாற்றங்கள், அரசியல் நிகழ்வுகள், பிரெஞ்சுப் படையின் வெற்றி, தோல்விகள், டெல்லி மீதான பாரசீகப் படையெடுப்பு, குற்றவாளிகளுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட கடும் தண்டனைகள், கடல் வணிகம், இந்தியாவுக்கு வந்த வெளிநாட்டுப் பயணிகளின் விவரம் உட்பட பல நிகழ்வுகளின் முக்கிய வரலாற்றுப் பதிவாக இவரது நாட்குறிப்பு திகழ்கிறது.
- இவர் மறைந்து 85 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகே இவரது நாட்குறிப்புகள் கிடைத்தன. உலக நாட்குறிப்பு இயக்கத்தின் முன்னோடியாகப் புகழ்பெற்ற ஆங்கில நாட்குறிப்பாளர் சாமுவேல் பெப்பீஸஷுடன் (Samuel Pepys) ஒப்பிடப்பட்டு, 'இந்தியாவின் பெப்பீஸ்" எனவும், நாட்குறிப்பு வேந்தர் எனவும் போற்றப்பட்ட இவர் 1761ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 16ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
