உலகத் தர நிர்ணய தினம் - World Standard Day :

✒️World Standards Day is celebrated globally on 14th October every year. 

• Since 1970, the International Organization for Standardization (IEC), ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and ITU have been observing World Standards Day on October 14 to raise awareness about the quality and standardization of all man-made products and services in the world.

• The day honours the efforts of the thousands of experts who develop voluntary standards within standards development organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The aim of World Standards Day is to raise awareness among regulators, industry and consumers as to the importance of standardization to the global economy.

• The object of the World standards are very essential and in industrial revolution saw the beginning of an important change, and while many people say that fire was man’s most important invention, it’s entirely possible that it was actually standardization. Today when you need a replacement tool, you know you can go down to the hardware store and get one. When you get a new router you know that it will be able to communicate with the networks and other electronic equipment because they all operate on a set of standardized frequencies. Even your vehicle run on a certain kind of fuel because the ISO set the standard for vehicles of that type. World Standards Day celebrates the hard work of the ISO and the way that it has utterly shaped the world we have today.

• October 14 was specifically chosen to mark the date, in 1946, when delegates from 25 countries first gathered in London and decided to create an international organization focused on facilitating standardization. Even though ISO was formed one year later, it wasn't until 1970 that the first World Standards Day was celebrated. Now around the world celebrating the day and various activities are chosen by national bodies to commemorate the date. 

• உலகத் தர நிர்ணய தினம் என்பது ஆண்டுதோறும் அக்டோபர் 14ஆம் தேதி உலகளாவிய முறையில் கொண்டாடப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

• உலகில் மனிதனால் உற்பத்தி செய்யப்படும் அனைத்து பொருட்கள் மற்றும் சேவைகளின் தரம் மற்றும் தர நிர்ணயம் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை மக்களுக்கு புகுத்தவே சர்வதேச தர நிர்ணய நிறுவனம் IEC, ISO (International Organization for Standardization) மற்றும் ITU அமைப்புகளும் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து 1970ஆம் ஆண்டிலிருந்து அக்டோபர் 14ஆம் தேதியை உலகத்தர நிர்ணய நாளாக அனுசரித்து வருகின்றன.

உலக முட்டை தினம் - World Egg Day :

✒️World Egg Day has been celebrated since 1996 on the second Friday of October every year to reflect the importance of eggs. This festival is celebrated to spread awareness about the benefits of eggs and create awareness about the importance of eggs.

• முட்டையின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை உணர்த்தும் வகையில் ஆண்டுதோறும் அக்டோபர் மாதத்தின் இரண்டாவது வெள்ளிக்கிழமை (அக்டோபர் 14), உலக முட்டை தினமாக 1996ஆம் ஆண்டிலிருந்து கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

• முட்டையின் நன்மைகளை பரவலாகத் தெரியப்படுத்துவதற்காகவும், முட்டையின் முக்கியத்துவம் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காகவும் இத்தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

• 🌟 இந்த ஆண்டு (13.10.2023) உலக முட்டை தினம் நேற்று கொண்டாடப்பட்டது - This year (13.10.2023) World Egg Day was celebrated yesterday.

Lala Hardayal - Freedom Fighter

லாலா ஹர்தயாள் - Lala Har Dayal Mathur - Freedom Fighter & Revolutionary :

✒️Freedom fighter and great writer Lala Har Dayal was born on 14th October 1884 in Delhi. He went to America and started a magazine called 'Ghadar' along with some people and together they started a party called "The Pacific Coast Hindustan Association." This magazine revealed to the world the atrocities committed by the British government in India. The world's attention turned to India. He took steps for armed revolution to get freedom of India. Lala Har Dayal, who traveled to various countries and gathered support for the Indian freedom struggle, died on March 4, 1939.

• விடுதலைப் போராட்ட வீரரும், சிறந்த படைப்பாளியுமான லாலா ஹர்தயாள் 1884ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 14ஆம் தேதி டெல்லியில் பிறந்தார்.

• அமெரிக்கா சென்ற இவர் சிலருடன் இணைந்து 'கதர்" (Ghadar) என்ற பத்திரிக்கையை தொடங்கினார். மேலும் இவர்கள் ஒன்றிணைந்து அமெரிக்க பசிபிக் பிராந்திய ஹிந்த் கழகம் என்ற கட்சியைத் தொடங்கினர்.

• இந்தியாவில் ஆங்கில அரசு செய்து வந்த கொடுமைகளை இப்பத்திரிக்கை உலகிற்கு வெளிப்படுத்தியது. உலகின் கவனம் இந்தியா பக்கம் திரும்பியது. இந்தியா விடுதலை பெற ஆயுதப் புரட்சிக்கான முனைப்புகளை மேற்கொண்டார்.

• பல்வேறு நாடுகளுக்குச் சென்று இந்திய விடுதலைப் போராட்டத்திற்கு ஆதரவு திரட்டிய லாலா ஹர்தயாள், 1939ஆம் ஆண்டு மறைந்தார்.

🌟The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 : It was enacted on 14th October 1988 & came into force on 1st July 1989, to consolidate and amend the law relating to motor vehicles.

🌟 1643ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 14ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவை ஆட்சி செய்த முகலாயப் பேரரசின் பேரரசர் முதலாம் பகதூர் ஷா பிறந்தார் -  On October 14, 1643, Bahadur Shah - 1, the first emperor of the Mughal Empire who ruled India, was born.

🌟 சிறந்த இந்திய பாரம்பரிய சிதார் கலைஞர், நிகில் பானர்ஜி 1931ம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 14ம் தேதி அன்று பிறந்தார் - The great Indian classical sitarist, Nikhil Banerjee was born on 14 October 1931.

🌟 தமிழகத்தில் சிறந்த எழுத்தாளரான சிவசங்கரி 1942 ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் மாதம் 14 ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார் - Tamil Nadu's greatest writer Sivasankari was born on 14th October 1942.

🌟 விண்ணிலிருந்து முதலாவது நேரடி தொலைக்காட்சி ஒளிபரப்பு அப்போலோ 7 விண்கலத்தில் இருந்து 1968 ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 14 ஆம் தேதி மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது - The first live television broadcast from space was carried out on October 14, 1968, from the Apollo 7 spacecraft.

🌟 2009ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 14ஆம் தேதி இந்தியக் குடிமைப் பணிகள் தேர்வு என்று அழைக்கப்படும் ஐசிஎஸ் தேர்வில் முதன்முதலாக வெற்றிபெற்ற பெண் சி.பி.முத்தம்மா மறைந்தார் - On October 14, 2009, C.B.Muthamma, the first woman to crack the ICS examinations (Indian Civil Services), passed away.
