உலக உயிரி எரிபொருள் தினம் - World Biofuel Day :

✒️World Biofuel Day is observed on 10th August every year to highlight the various initiatives taken by the government in the field of biofuels to promote biofuels as an alternative to fossil fuels.

• புதைபடிவ எரிபொருட்களுக்கு மாற்றாக உயிரி எரிபொருளை ஊக்குவிக்க உயிரி எரிபொருள் துறையில் அரசு எடுத்துள்ள பல்வேறு முயற்சிகளை முன்னிலைப்படுத்த, ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஆகஸ்ட் 10 ஆம் தேதி உலக உயிரி எரிபொருள் தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

V.V.Giri - Former President of India

வி.வி.கிரி - V.V.Giri (Varahagiri Venkata Giri) - Indian politician - Activist - Former President of India : 

✒️Former President of India V.V.Giri was born on 10th August 1894 in Berhampur, Odisha. After meeting Gandhi in 1914, he thought it was more important to participate in the liberation struggle and labor rights than to study law. He won the 1936 elections as a Congress candidate and was appointed as the Minister of Labor and Industries of Madras Province (Chennai). Later he served as Indian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Union Labor Minister and Governor of several states. He then became Vice-President (1967), President (1969 interim post) and won the subsequent Presidential election and held the post until 1974. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1975. Such a great personality, who laid the foundation for the development of trade unions in India was died in 1980.

• இந்தியாவின் முன்னாள் குடியரசு தலைவர் வி.வி.கிரி 1894ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் 10ஆம் தேதி ஒடிசாவில் உள்ள பெர்ஹாம்பூரில் பிறந்தார்.

• 1914ஆம் ஆண்டு காந்தியை சந்தித்த பிறகு, சட்டம் பயில்வதை விட, விடுதலை போராட்டம், தொழிலாளர் உரிமைகளுக்கான போராட்டங்களில் பங்கேற்பதுதான் முக்கியம் என்று நினைத்தார்.

• 1936ஆம் ஆண்டு நடந்த தேர்தலில் காங்கிரஸ் வேட்பாளராகப் போட்டியிட்டு வென்ற இவர், மதராஸ் மாகாணத்தின் (சென்னை) தொழிலாளர் மற்றும் தொழில்துறை அமைச்சராகப் பதவியேற்றார். பிறகு இலங்கைக்கான இந்தியத் தூதர், மத்தியத் தொழிலாளர் துறை அமைச்சர், பல மாநிலங்களின் ஆளுநராகவும் பணியாற்றியிருக்கிறார்

• அதன்பின் துணை குடியரசுத் தலைவர் (1967), குடியரசுத் தலைவர் (1969 இடைக்காலப் பதவி), அதன்பிறகு நடந்த குடியரசுத் தலைவர் தேர்தலில் வென்று 1974ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை அப்பதவியை வகித்தார். 1975ஆம் ஆண்டு இவருக்கு பாரத ரத்னா விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது. 

• இந்தியாவில் தொழிலாளர் சங்கங்கள் வளர்ச்சி பெறுவதற்கு அடித்தளமிட்ட இவர் 1980ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுன் 24ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

சாவி - Saavi - (Sa.Viswanathan) - Famous Tamil Author :

• தமிழின் மிகச்சிறந்த நகைச்சுவை எழுத்தாளர்களில் ஒருவரான 'சாவி" (சா.விஸ்வநாதன்) 1916ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் 10ஆம் தேதி வேலூர் மாவட்டம் ஆற்காடு அடுத்த மாம்பாக்கத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

• எழுத்தாளராக வேண்டும் என்பது இவரது கனவு. அதனால், கல்கி இதழில் அவ்வப்பொழுது 'விடாக்கண்டர்" என்ற பெயரில் எழுதி வந்தார். பின்னர் 'கல்கி" ஆசிரியர் சதாசிவம் இவரை அழைத்து, உதவி ஆசிரியராக நியமித்தார். 

• பிறகு 'சாவி" என்று புனைப்பெயர் சூட்டிக்கொண்டார். தொடர்ந்து கல்கியில் இவர் எழுதிய 'மாறுவேஷத்தில் மந்திரி", 'சூயஸ் கால்வாயின் கதை" உள்ளிட்ட நகைச்சுவைக் கட்டுரைகள் பெரும் வரவேற்பைப் பெற்றன. 

• படைப்புகளில் நகைச்சுவையுடன் கருத்துச் செறிவு, தன்னம்பிக்கை, விடாமுயற்சி, சாதித்துக்காட்ட வேண்டும் என்ற ஆர்வம் கொண்ட சாவி 2001ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 9ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟The Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971 : It was enacted on 10th August 1971 & came into force on 1st April 1972, to provide for the termination of certain gnancies by registered medical practitioners and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

🌟The Depositories Act, 1996 : It was enacted on 10th August, 1996 & as per Sec 1(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 20th day September, 1995, to provide for regulation of depositories in securities and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

🌟 மெகல்லன் விண்கலம் வெள்ளிக் கோளை 1990 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 10 ஆம் தேதி அடைந்தது - The Magellan spacecraft reached Venus on August 10, 1990.

 🌟 ஜவஹர்லால் நேரு இந்திய அணுசக்திப் பேரவையை 1948 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 10 ஆம் தேதி துவக்கி வைத்தார் - Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated the Indian Atomic Energy Commission on 10th August 1948.

🌟 1927ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் 10ஆம் தேதி இந்திய வானியலாளர் வைணு பாப்பு சென்னையில் பிறந்தார் - Indian astronomer Vainu Bappu was born on 10th August 1927 in Chennai.

🌟 1821ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் 10ஆம் தேதி மிசூரி அமெரிக்காவின் 24வது மாநிலமாக ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்பட்டது - On 10th August 1821, Missouri became the 24th state of the United States.
