டி.என்.ராஜரத்தினம் பிள்ளை - Thirumarugal Natesapillai Rajarathinam Pillai (Nadaswara Chakravarthi) - Indian Carnatic Musician - Vocalist - Film Actor :

✒️T.N.Rajaratnam Pillai, a recipient of the title of emperor of nadaswaram and an unparalleled Nadaswara expert, was born on 27th August 1898 in Thirumarukal, Thanjavur district. His first Nadaswara program was held in Chennai. His music was mesmerized by his fans. The very first concert was a huge success, after that many concerts were held in many places. He was known as "Nadaswara Chakravarty"(emperor of nadaswaram) and lived like a king not only in name but in reality. He has received many titles and awards including 'Sangeet Natak Akademi Award', 'Akila Ulaga Nadaswara Chakravarty'. His benedictory music was played at the midnight ceremony in Delhi on India's independence. AVM Chettiar recorded the raga 'Thodi' which he played for several hours and released a six-and-a-half-hour CD, which became a world record seller. T.N.Rajaratnam Pillai, hailed as an unparalleled Nadaswara artist, died in 1956.

• அகில உலக நாதஸ்வர சக்ரவர்த்தி என்ற பட்டம் பெற்றவரும், இணையற்ற நாதஸ்வர வித்வானாகத் திகழ்ந்தவருமான டி.என்.ராஜரத்தினம் பிள்ளை 1898ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 27ஆம் தேதி தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள திருமருகல் என்ற ஊரில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவரது முதல் நாதஸ்வர நிகழ்ச்சி சென்னையில் நடைபெற்றது. இவரின் இசையை ரசிகர்கள் மெய்மறந்து கேட்டனர். முதல் கச்சேரியே அபாரமான வெற்றி அடைந்தது. அதன் பின் பல இடங்களில் கச்சேரிகள் நடைபெற்றன.

• 'நாதஸ்வர சக்ரவர்த்தி" என்று அழைக்கப்பட்ட இவர், பெயரில் மட்டுமல்லாமல் நிஜமாகவே ஒரு ராஜாவைப் போல வாழ்ந்தவர். 'சங்கீத அகாடமி விருது", 'அகில உலக நாதஸ்வர சக்ரவர்த்தி" உள்ளிட்ட ஏராளமான பட்டங்களும், விருதுகளும் பெற்றுள்ளார். இந்தியா சுதந்திரம் அடைந்த நள்ளிரவில் டெல்லியில் நடைபெற்ற விழாவில் இவரது மங்கல இசை தான் ஒலித்தது.

• ஏவி.எம்.செட்டியார், பல மணி நேரம் இவர் இசைத்த 'தோடி" ராகத்தைப் பதிவு செய்து ஆறரை மணி நேர இசைத்தட்டை வெளியிட்டார். இது உலகம் முழுவதும் விற்பனையாகி சாதனை படைத்தது. ஈடு இணையற்ற நாதஸ்வரக் கலைஞர் என்று போற்றப்பட்ட டி.என்.ராஜரத்தினம் பிள்ளை 1956ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 12ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

மவுண்ட்பேட்டன் - Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicholas Mountbatten - Former Governor-General of India :

✒️Today is Mountbatten's memorial day. George Mountbatten, the last Viceroy of British India and the first Governor General of independent India, was born on 25 June 1900 in Windsor, England. His full name is Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicholas George Mountbatten. Due to his ability and hard work, he got many important high positions. He rose gradually in the navy and got the rank of captain. Also, he was appointed as the Viceroy of India in 1947. He masterfully handled the affairs leading to the partition of British India into two independent countries, India and Pakistan. He served as the first Governor General of independent India till June 21, 1948. He has won numerous medals and awards including British War Medal, Victory Medal, Atlantic Star, Burma Star, Italy Star. He passed away on 27th August 1979 (today).

• பிரிட்டிஷ் இந்தியாவின் கடைசி வைஸ்ராயும், சுதந்திர இந்தியாவின் முதல் கவர்னர் ஜெனரலுமான ஜார்ஜ் மவுண்ட்பேட்டன் 1900ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 25ஆம் தேதி இங்கிலாந்தில் வின்ட்ஸர் என்ற இடத்தில் பிறந்தார். இவரது முழு பெயர் லூயி பிரான்சிஸ் ஆல்பர்ட் விக்டர் நிக்கோலஸ் ஜார்ஜ் மவுண்ட்பேட்டன்.

• இவர் தன்னுடைய திறன் மற்றும் கடும் உழைப்பினால் பல முக்கிய உயர் பதவிகளை பெற்றார். கப்பற்படையில் படிப்படியாக உயர்ந்து கேப்டன் பதவியையும் பெற்றார்.

• மேலும், 1947ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்தியாவின் வைஸ்ராயாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். பிரிட்டிஷ் இந்தியாவிலிருந்து இந்தியா, பாகிஸ்தான் என்ற இரண்டு சுதந்திர நாடுகளாகப் பிரிப்பதற்குமான விவகாரங்களைத் திறமையுடன் கையாண்டார்.

• இவர் ஜுன் 21, 1948ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை சுதந்திர இந்தியாவின் முதல் கவர்னர் ஜெனரலாகப் பணியாற்றினார். பிரிட்டிஷ் வார் மெடல், விக்டரி மெடல், அட்லாண்டிக் ஸ்டார், பர்மா ஸ்டார், இத்தாலி ஸ்டார் உள்ளிட்ட ஏராளமான பதக்கங்களையும், விருதுகளையும் வென்றுள்ளார். இவர் 1979ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 27ஆம் தேதி (இன்று) மறைந்தார்.
