சந்திரயான்-3 (சந்திர ஆய்வு விண்கலம்) - Chandrayaan-3 (Moon Exploration Mission) :

✒️India's Chandrayaan-3 successfully lands on the South Pole of the Moon. Spacecraft's Vikram Lander landed today (23.08.2023) at 6.04 pm. India has become the first country to land a spacecraft on the Moon's south pole and the fourth country to soft-land on the lunar surface after the US, China and Russia.

• இந்தியாவின் சந்திரயான்-3 வெற்றிகரமாக நிலவின் தென் துருவத்தில் தரையிறங்கியது. விண்கலத்தின் விக்ரம் லேண்டர் இன்று (23.08.2023) மாலை 6.04 மணிக்கு தரையிறங்கியது. சந்திரனின் தென் துருவத்தில் விண்கலத்தை தரையிறக்கிய முதல் நாடாகவும், அமெரிக்கா, சீனா மற்றும் ரஷ்யாவைத் தொடர்ந்து சந்திர மேற்பரப்பில் மென்மையாக தரையிறங்கிய நான்காவது நாடாகவும் இந்தியா மாறியுள்ளது. 

சர்வதேச அடிமை வாணிப நினைவூட்டல் தினம் - International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition :

✒️On the African island of Haiti, slaves fought against their oppression from midnight on August 22nd to 23rd, 1791. August 23rd, 1998, is commemorated in Haiti, where the first struggle to end the slave trade took place. Following this, this festival is observed every year.

• ஆப்பிரிக்கத் தீவில் உள்ள ஹெய்ட்டி என்ற பகுதியில் அடிமைகள் தங்கள் இழிநிலைக்கு எதிராக 1791ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 22ஆம் தேதி நள்ளிரவு முதல் 23ஆம் தேதி வரை போராடினர்.

• அடிமை வாணிப முறையை ஒழிக்க முதன்முதலில் போராட்டம் நடைபெற்ற ஹெய்ட்டியில் 1998ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 23ஆம் தேதி அன்று நினைவு தினமாக கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டது. இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் இத்தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

T.S.Balaiah - Legendary Actor

டி.எஸ்.பாலையா - Thirunelveli Subramaniyan Balaiah - Film Actor :

✒️The legendary actor of the Tamil film world T.S.Balaiah was born on August 23, 1914 in a town called Sundankottai in Thoothukudi district. He was very interested in acting at a young age. So, he joined many theater companies, played various roles and emerged as a great actor. He made his debut as a villain in the 1936 film "Sathi Leelavathi." He had made his mark in villainous roles in the early days. Later he became famous in comedy roles as well. "Kadhalikka Neramellai" and "Ooty Varai Uravu" were the crowns of his comedic performances. T.S.Balaiah, who rocked the Tamil film world in hero, villain and character roles, passed away on July 22, 1972.

• தமிழ்த் திரையுலகின் பழம்பெரும் நடிகர் டி.எஸ்.பாலையா 1914ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 23ஆம் தேதி தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள சுண்டங்கோட்டை என்ற ஊரில் பிறந்தார். இவர் திருநெல்வேலியைச் சேர்ந்தவர்.

• இவர் இளம் வயதிலேயே நடிப்பின் மீது அதிக ஆர்வம் கொண்டிருந்தார். அதனால், பல நாடக கம்பெனிகளில் சேர்ந்து, பல்வேறு வேடங்களில் நடித்து, சிறந்த நடிகராக உருவானார். 1936ஆம் ஆண்டு சதிலீலாவதி என்ற திரைப்படத்தில் வில்லனாக அறிமுகமானார்.

• இவர் துவக்க காலங்களில் வில்லன் வேடங்களில் முத்திரை பதித்திருந்தார். பிற்காலங்களில் இவர் நகைச்சுவை வேடங்களிலும் புகழ் பெற்றார். காதலிக்க நேரமில்லை, ஊட்டி வரை உறவு இவை இவரது நகைச்சுவை நடிப்பிற்கு மகுடங்களாக அமைந்தன.

• கதாநாயகனாகவும், வில்லனாகவும், குணச்சித்திர வேடங்களிலும் தமிழ்ப்பட உலகை கலக்கிய டி.எஸ்.பாலையா 1972ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுலை 22ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟The Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 : It was enacted on 23rd August 2006 & came into force on 28th May 2008, to consolidate the laws relating to food and to establish the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India for laying down science based standards for articles of food and to regulate their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale and import, to ensure availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

🌟The Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971: It was enacted on 23rd August, 1971 & as per Sec 1(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on 16th September, 1958 except sections 11, 19 and 20 which shall come into force at once, to provide for the eviction of unauthorised occupants from public premises and for certain incidental matters.

🌟 1948ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 23ஆம் தேதி உலக தேவாலயங்களின் தலைமை கழகம் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது - On August 23, 1948, the World Council of Churches was established.

🌟 1919ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 23ஆம் தேதி ஜப்பானிய மொழியையும், தமிழ்மொழியையும் ஆராய்ந்து அவற்றுக்கிடையேயான ஒற்றுமைகளை வெளிக்கொணர்ந்த சுசுமு ஓனோ டோக்கியோவில் பிறந்தார் - Susumu Ono was born on August 23, 1919 in Tokyo, exploring the Japanese language and the Tamil language and discovering similarities between them.

🌟 ஜார்ஜஸ் குவியர், பிரெஞ்சு இயற்கை ஆர்வலர், விலங்கியல் நிபுணர் மற்றும் பழங்காலவியலின் ஸ்தாபக தந்தை 23 ஆகஸ்ட் 1769 அன்று பிரான்சின் மான்ட்பெலியார்டில் பிறந்தார் - Georges Cuvier, French Naturalist, Zoologist & founding father of paleontology was born on 23rd August 1769 at Montbeliard, France.
