International Youth Day - World Elephant Day - Vikram Sarabhai, Father of Indian Space Programme, Physicist, Astronomer - Rama Periyakaruppan, Tamil Scholar - William Shockley, Inventor - 12 August

Dear readers, today we would like to remind you once again of some of the things that happened today.

It's might be about Indian Law, World Leaders, Inventions, Inventors, Freedom fighters, the people who made the world look back. It can also be about an event. In that line today we are going to know about "International Youth Day - World Elephant Day - Vikram Sarabhai, Father of Indian Space Programme, Physicist, Astronomer - Rama Periyakaruppan, Tamil Scholar - William Shockley, Inventor."

சர்வதேச இளைஞர் தினம் - International Youth Day :

✒️The contribution of youth is very important for the peace and development of the country. The development of the country also depends on the development of the youth. Therefore, the International Youth Day is observed to bring awareness to the problems and activities of such youth. Accordingly, in 1999, the United Nations decided to celebrate the International Youth Day on August 12. So this festival has been celebrated since 2000.

• நாட்டின் அமைதி மற்றும் வளர்ச்சிக்கு இளைஞர்களின் பங்களிப்பு மிக முக்கியமானது. இளைஞர்களின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு ஏற்ப நாட்டின் வளர்ச்சியும் அமைகிறது. எனவே இத்தகைய இளைஞர்களின் பிரச்சனைகளையும், செயல்பாடுகளையும் கவனத்தில் கொள்ளும் வகையிலும், விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தவும் சர்வதேச இளைஞர் தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. 

• இதன்படி 1999ஆம் ஆண்டு ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபையில் சர்வதேச இளைஞர் தினம் ஆகஸ்ட் 12ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்பட வேண்டுமென தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டது. எனவே இத்தினம் 2000ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் கொண்டாடப்பட்டு வருகின்றது.

உலக யானைகள் தினம் - World Elephant Day :

✒️World Elephant Day is celebrated on 12th August every year. Currently, elephants are listed as rare animals. It is our duty to protect elephants so that future generations can see them. This festival is observed as a symbol of our country's prosperity and heritage to protect the endangered species of elephants.

• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஆகஸ்ட் 12ஆம் தேதி சர்வதேச யானைகள் தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. தற்போது யானைகள், அரியவகை விலங்குகள் பட்டியலில் உள்ளன. பிற்கால சந்ததிகள் யானைகளைப் பார்க்க, அவற்றைப் பாதுகாப்பது நமது கடமையாகும்.

• நம் நாட்டின் செழிப்பு மற்றும் பாரம்பரியத்தின் அடையாளமாக விளங்கும் யானைகளின் இனம் அழிந்து வருவதை பாதுகாக்க வேண்டும் என்பதை உணர்த்தும் வகையில் இத்தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.

விக்ரம் சாராபாய் - Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai - Father of Indian Space Programme - Physicist - Astronomer :

• இந்திய விண்வெளி அறிவியலின் தந்தை விக்ரம் ஆம்பாலால் சாராபாய் 1919ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 12ஆம் தேதி குஜராத் மாநிலம் அகமதாபாத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவர் சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே கணிதத்திலும், இயற்பியலிலும் அதிக நாட்டம் கொண்டவராக இருந்தார். இங்கிலாந்தில் பிஹெச்.டி. ஆராய்ச்சியை முடித்த பிறகு 1947ஆம் ஆண்டு அகமதாபாத்தில் இயற்பியல் ஆராய்ச்சி ஆய்வகத்தை நிறுவினார்.

• இந்திய தேசிய விண்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சிகளுக்கான குழு பேரவை தொடங்கப்பட்டபோது அதன் தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். 1969ஆம் ஆண்டு இதற்கு மாற்றாக இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆய்வு மையம் (இஸ்ரோ) தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

• இந்தியாவின் முதல் செயற்கைக்கோளான ஆரியபட்டாவின் விண்ணேவுதலுக்கு முழுமுதல் காரணமானவர் இவரே. சாந்தி ஸ்வரூப் பட்நாகர் விருது, பத்ம பூஷண், பத்ம விபூஷண் (மறைவுக்குப் பிறகு) ஆகிய விருதுகள் இவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டன.

• இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆராய்ச்சி, அணுசக்தி ஆராய்ச்சி என ஆராய்ச்சிக் கல்வியின் மேம்பாட்டிற்காக கடுமையாக பாடுபட்ட விக்ரம் சாராபாய் 1971ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 30ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

மற்ற நிகழ்வுகள் - Other Events :

🌟The Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Act, 2021: It was enacted on 12th August, 2021 & as per Sec 1(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 13th April, 2021, to provide for the constitution of the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas for better co-ordination, research, identification and resolution of problems surrounding the air quality index and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

🌟The Madras City Civil Court Act, 1892 : It was enacted & enforced on 12th August 1892, to establish an additional Civil Court for the City of Madras.

🌟The Live-stock Importation Act, 1898: It was enacted & enforced on 12th August 1898, to make better provision for the regulation of the importation of live-stock and Live Stock Products.

🌟The Salaries and Allowances of Ministers Act, 1952 : It was enacted & enforced on 12th August 1952, to provide for the salaries and allowances of Ministers.

🌟1928ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 12ஆம் தேதி தமிழறிஞர், தமிழண்ணல் என்கிற இராம.பெரியகருப்பன் சிவகங்கை மாவட்டம் நெற்குப்பை என்ற ஊரில் பிறந்தார் - Rama Periyakaruppan, also known as Tamizhannal, was born on August 12, 1928 in Nerkuppai, Sivagangai district.

🌟1989ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 12ஆம் தேதி டிரான்சிஸ்டரைக் கண்டுபிடித்த மூவருள் ஒருவரான வில்லியம் ஷாக்லி மறைந்தார் - William Shockley, one of the three inventors of the transistor, passed away on August 12, 1989.
