பி.சி.மகாலனோபிஸ் - Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis - Indian Scientist - Statistician :

✒️Mathematical and statistical genius Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis was born 29th June 1893 (today) in Kolkata. His birthday is celebrated as National Statistics Day. He founded the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata in 1931. Mahalanobis defines distance and random sampling method. He is the recipient of Fellowship of the American Economic Society, Padma Vibhushan, Srinivasa Ramanujan Gold Medal Awards. Mahalanobis, a pioneer in the field of economic planning and statistics, died in 1972.

  • இவருடைய பிறந்த நாள் தேசிய புள்ளியியல் தினமாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இவர் கொல்கத்தாவில் இந்தியப் புள்ளியியல் நிறுவனத்தை 1931ஆம் ஆண்டு நிறுவினார். மகாலனோபிஸ் தொலைவு, ரேண்டம் சாம்ப்ளிங் முறை ஆகியவற்றை வரையறுத்துள்ளார்.

  • அமெரிக்க எகனாமிக் சொசைட்டியின் ஃபெலோஷிப், பத்ம விபூஷண், சீனிவாச ராமானுஜன் தங்கப்பதக்கம் என ஏராளமான விருதுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளார்.

  • பொருளாதாரத் திட்டமிடல் மற்றும் புள்ளி விவர வளர்ச்சி துறைகளில் மிக உன்னதமான பங்களிப்பை வழங்கிய மகாலனோபிஸ் 1972ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுன் 28ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.


ஆர்.எஸ்.மனோகர் - Rasipuram Subramaniyan Iyer Manohar - Indian versatile actor : 

✒️A revolutionary in the world of Tamil theatre, R.S.Manohar was born on June 29, 1925 in Namakkal. He got the name Manohar because he acted in a play called Manohara during his school days. He has staged and acted in various plays. His plays include Ilangeswaran, Chanakya Sabadham, Soorabadman, Sisubalan, Indrajith, Naragasooran, Shukrachariyar. He made his debut as a film hero and has also acted as a villain. He has acted in more than 200 films including Vannakkili, Kaithi Kannayiram, Vallavanukku Vallavan, Aiyirathil Oruvan, Adimaippen, Edhaiyakani. He is a recipient of many awards and titles including music scholar and theater protector. R.S.Manohar, who created a breakthrough in the Tamil theater industry, passed away on January 10, 2006.

  • தமிழ் நாடக உலகில் புரட்சியை ஏற்படுத்திய, நாடகக் காவலர் ஆர்.எஸ்.மனோகர் 1925ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 29ஆம் தேதி நாமக்கல்லில் பிறந்தார். 

  • இவர் தன்னுடைய பள்ளிப் பருவத்தில் மனோகரா என்ற நாடகத்தில் நடித்ததால், மனோகர் என்னும் பெயர் பெற்றார்.

  • இவர் பல்வேறு நாடகங்களை அரங்கேற்றி நடித்துள்ளார். இவர் நடித்த இலங்கேஸ்வரன், சாணக்கிய சபதம், சூரபத்மன், சிசுபாலன், இந்திரஜித், நரகாசுரன், சுக்ராச்சாரியார் உள்ளிட்ட நாடகங்கள் குறிப்பிடத்தக்கவை.

  • சினிமா கதாநாயகனாக அறிமுகமான இவர் வில்லன் கதாபாத்திரத்திலும் நடித்துள்ளார். இவர் வண்ணக்கிளி, கைதி கண்ணாயிரம், வல்லவனுக்கு வல்லவன், ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவன், அடிமைப்பெண், இதயக்கனி உட்பட 200-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட திரைப்படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார்.

  • இவர் இசைப்பேரறிஞர், நாடகக் காவலர் உட்பட பல விருதுகள், பட்டங்களை பெற்றவர். தமிழ் நாடகத் துறையில் ஒரு திருப்புமுனையை உருவாக்கிய ஆர்.எஸ்.மனோகர் 2006ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 10ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
