'கல்கி" ரா.கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி - Ramaswamy krishnamurthy (pen name kalki) - Indian Writer - Journalist - Critic - Poet - Independence Activist :

✒️Renowned writer and pioneer of historical stories in Tamil, 'Kalki' Ra.Krishnamurthy was born on 9th September 1899 at puthamangalam near Mayiladuthurai in Tanjore district. After seeing the campaign pieces written by him, Congress President T.S.S.Rajan said, 'You deserve to succeed in writing'. On his advice, he joined the magazine 'Navasakthi'. He wanted to start his own magazine along with friend Sadhasivam. The magazine 'Kalki' was started with the funds provided by Sadhasivam's wife M.S.Subbulakshmi and his creativity quickly made the magazine a huge success. He has written 35 volumes of short stories, novels, essays, travelogues and biographical books. His 'Parthipan Kanavu (Parthipan's Dream)' was the first historical novel in Tamil. His follow-up historical novel 'Sivakami Sabatham (Sivakami's Vow)' and social novel 'Alaiosai (Wave Sound)' were also well received. The novel 'Ponniyin Selvan', which started writing in 1951 and was serialized for 3 years, earned Kalki's name an indelible place in history. It has been reprinted many times till date. A pioneer journalist, fiction writer, art critic, columnist, lyricist and freedom fighter, Kalki died on 5th December, 1954. His works have been nationalized.

• புகழ்பெற்ற எழுத்தாளரும், தமிழில் சரித்திரக் கதைகளின் முன்னோடியுமான 'கல்கி" ரா.கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி 1899ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 9ஆம் தேதி தஞ்சை மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள மயிலாடுதுறையை அடுத்த புத்தமங்கலத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவர் எழுதிய பிரச்சார துண்டுகளை பார்த்த காங்கிரஸ் தலைவர் டி.எஸ்.எஸ்.ராஜன், 'நீ எழுத்துலகில் சாதிக்க வேண்டியவன்" என்றார். அவரது ஆலோசனைப்படி 'நவசக்தி" பத்திரிக்கையில் சேர்ந்தார்.

• நண்பர் டி.சதாசிவத்துடன் சேர்ந்து சொந்தமாக பத்திரிக்கை தொடங்க விரும்பினார். சதாசிவத்தின் மனைவி எம்.எஸ்.சுப்புலட்சுமி வழங்கிய நிதியுடன் 'கல்கி" பத்திரிக்கை தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இவரது படைப்பாற்றலால் பத்திரிக்கை விரைவிலேயே அபார வெற்றி பெற்றது.

• இவர் 35 சிறுகதை தொகுதிகள், புதினங்கள், கட்டுரைகள், பயணக் கட்டுரைகள், வாழ்க்கை வரலாற்று நூல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். இவரது 'பார்த்திபன் கனவு" தமிழின் முதல் சரித்திர நாவலாகும். அடுத்து வந்த வரலாற்றுப் புதினமான 'சிவகாமியின் சபதம்", சமூகப் புதினமான 'அலைஓசை" ஆகியவையும் பெரும் வரவேற்பை பெற்றன.

• 1951ஆம் ஆண்டு எழுதத் தொடங்கி 3 ஆண்டுகள் தொடராக வெளிவந்த 'பொன்னியின் செல்வன்" நாவல், கல்கியின் பெயருக்கு வரலாற்றில் நீங்காத இடத்தை பெற்றுத்தந்தது. அது இன்றுவரை பலமுறை மறுபதிப்பு செய்யப்படுகிறது. 'கல்கி" இதழில் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் தொடராக வெளிவருகிறது.

• முன்னோடி பத்திரிக்கையாளர், புனைகதை எழுத்தாளர், கலை விமர்சகர், கட்டுரையாளர், பாடலாசிரியர், சுதந்திரப் போராட்ட வீரர் எனப் பன்முகத்தன்மை கொண்ட கல்கி 1954ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 5ந் தேதி மறைந்தார். இவரது படைப்புகள் நாட்டுடைமை ஆக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

🌟The Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920 : It was enacted & enforced on 9th September 1920, to take power to require passports of persons entering India.

🌟The International Development Association (Status, Immunities and Privileges) Act, 1960 : It was enacted on 9th September 1960 & came into force on 15th October 1960, to implement the international agreement for the establishment and operation of the International Development Association in so far as it relates to the status, immunities and privileges of that Association, and for matters connected therewith.

🌟 2012ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 9ஆம் தேதி இந்திய வெண்மைப் புரட்சியின் தந்தை வர்கீஸ் குரியன் மறைந்தார் - Verghese Kurien, the father of the Indian White Revolution, passed away on September 9, 2012.

🌟 1850ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 9ஆம் தேதி கலிபோர்னியா, 31வது மாநிலமாக அமெரிக்காவில் இணைந்தது - On September 9, 1850, California became the 31st state to join the United States.

🌟  லியோ டால்ஸ்டாய், ரஷ்ய எழுத்தாளர், சிறந்த எழுத்தாளர்களில் ஒருவரான இவர் 1828ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 9ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார்.
