Bhikaiji Rustom Cama - Freedom Fighter

பிகாஜி ருஸ்தம் காமா - Bhikaiji Rustom Cama - Freedom Fighter :

✒️Indian freedom fighter and suffragist Bhikaiji Rustom Cama was born on September 24, 1861 in Mumbai. In 1907, at the International Socialist Conference held in Stuttgart, Germany, she raised the demand to design an 'Indian Independence Flag'. At this conference, she made demands for human rights, equality and independence from the British in India. She fought for women's rights and women's suffrage. She bequeathed a large part of her wealth to an orphanage for girls. Many cities, streets and public structures in India are named after Bhikaiji Cama or Madam Cama. A postage stamp bearing her image has also been issued. Bhikaiji Cama died on 13th August 1936 after raising awareness of the Indian freedom struggle throughout her life.

• 1907ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜெர்மனியில் ஸ்டட்கார்ட் என்ற இடத்தில் நடைபெற்ற சர்வதேச சோசலிஸ்ட் மாநாட்டில் 'இந்திய சுதந்திரக் கொடி" வடிவமைக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்ற கோரிக்கையை எழுப்பினார்.

• இவர் இந்த மாநாட்டில் இந்தியாவில் மனித உரிமைகள், சமத்துவம் மற்றும் பிரிட்டிஷிடமிருந்து சுயாட்சி ஆகிய கோரிக்கைகளை முன்வைத்தார். பெண்ணுரிமை, பெண்களுக்கு வாக்குரிமை ஆகியவற்றுக்காகப் போராடினார். தனது சொத்துக்களில் பெரும் பகுதியை சிறுமிகளுக்கான ஆதரவற்றோர் விடுதி ஒன்றிற்கு எழுதி வைத்தார்.

• இந்தியாவில் பல நகரங்கள், தெருக்கள், பொது அமைப்புகளுக்கு பிகாஜி காமா அல்லது மேடம் காமா என்று பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது. இவரது உருவம் பொறிக்கப்பட்ட தபால் தலையும் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் இந்திய விடுதலைப் போராட்டம் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்திய பிகாஜி காமா 1936ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 13ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

✒️French Engineer and Inventor George Claude was born on September 24, 1870 in France. He invented the Neon Lamp and Ocean thermal energy conversion. He was awarded the Leconte Prize in 1921. George Claude, died on 23rd May, 1960.

• பிரஞ்சு பொறியாளர் மற்றும் கண்டுபிடிப்பாளருமான ஜார்ஜ் க்ளாட் 1870ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 24ஆம் தேதி பிரான்ஸில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவர் நியான் விளக்கு (Neon Lamp) மற்றும் பெருங்கடல் வெப்ப ஆற்றல் மாற்றம் (Ocean thermal energy conversion) ஆகியவற்றை கண்டுபிடித்தவர். இவருக்கு 1921ஆம் ஆண்டு லிகாண்டே பரிசு (Leconte Prize) வழங்கப்பட்டது.

🌟 1906ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 24ஆம் தேதி பேய்க் கோபுரம் அமெரிக்காவின் முதலாவது தேசிய நினைவுச் சின்னமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது - On September 24, 1906, Devils Tower was declared America's first National Monument.
