சர்வதேச தேயிலை தினம் - International Tea Day :

✒️International Tea Day is celebrated on 15th December by the tea producing countries like India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Uganda and Tanzania. This festival was celebrated for the first time on 15th December 2005 in New Delhi. Its main objective is to bring to the attention of the government and the people the problems faced by the tea plantation workers, tea producers and consumers of tea. (According to the United Nations, International Tea Day is observed annually on May 21).

சர்வதேச தேயிலை தினம் டிசம்பர் 15ஆம் தேதி இந்தியா, இலங்கை, நேபாளம், வியட்நாம், இந்தோனேசியா, பங்களாதேஷ், கென்யா, மலாவி, மலேசியா, உகாண்டா மற்றும் தான்சானியா போன்ற தேயிலை உற்பத்தி நாடுகளில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இத்தினம் முதல்முறையாக 2005ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 15ஆம் தேதி புதுடெல்லியில் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. தேயிலைத் தோட்டத் தொழிலாளர்கள், தேயிலை உற்பத்தி செய்வோர்கள் மற்றும் தேயிலையைப் பயன்படுத்துபவர்கள் எதிர்நோக்கும் பிரச்சனைகளை அரசாங்கத்திற்கும், மக்களுக்கும் கொண்டு செல்வதே இத்தினத்தின் முக்கிய நோக்கம் ஆகும். (ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபையின் கூற்றுப்படி, சர்வதேச தேயிலை தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் மே 21 அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது).

Henri Becquerel - Physicist

ஹென்றி பெக்கெரல் - Antoine Henri Becquerel - French Engineer - Physicist - Nobel Laureate - Discoverer of Radioactivity :

✒️Henri Becquerel, the discoverer of radioactivity, was born on December 15, 1852 in France. Becquerel discovered radioactivity in 1896 while studying the phosphorescence of uranium salts. In 1903, along with Marie Curie and Pierre Curie, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for the discovery of radioactivity. The SI unit system of radioactivity is named Becquerel (Bq) in his honor. He died on 25th August 1908.

கதிரியக்கத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்த ஹென்றி பெக்கெரல் 1852ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 15ஆம் தேதி பிரான்சில் பிறந்தார்.

பெக்கெரல் 1896ஆம் ஆண்டு யுரேனியம் உப்பில் ஒளிர்வை (phosphorescence) ஆராயும்போது கதிரியக்கத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்தார். 1903ஆம் ஆண்டு மேரி கியூரி மற்றும் பியேர் கியூரி ஆகியோருடன் சேர்த்து இவருக்கு கதிரியக்கத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்தமைக்காக நோபல் பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டது.

கதிரியக்கத்தின் எஸ்.ஐ (SI) அலகு முறை இவரது நினைவாக பெக்கெரல் (Bq) எனப் பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டது. இவர் 1908ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 25ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேல் - Vallabhbhai Jhaverbhai Patel - Politician - Former Deputy Prime Minister of India - Lawyer :

✒️Today is his memorial day! Hailed as the 'Iron Man' of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was born on 31st October 1875 in Gujarat. The central government observes Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birthday on October 31 as "National Unity Day" every year. He became famous in Ahmedabad for helping the local people through his advocacy work. He won the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation elections in 1917. When the Swadeshi movement was at its peak, he heard Gandhiji's speech and left his profession as a lawyer to join the Swadeshi movement. Patel was victorious in the struggle for the welfare of the farmers at Bartoli. Since then he was fondly called 'Sardar' by the people. He served as the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of independent India. His first task as Home Minister was to unite the 565 kingdoms that were fragmented across the country. He died on 15th December 1950, known as the soldier of freedom struggle. Patel was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1991.

இந்தியாவின் 'இரும்பு மனிதர்" என்று போற்றப்படும் சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேல் 1875ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 31ஆம் தேதி குஜராத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேலின் பிறந்த நாளான அக்டோபர் 31ஆம் தேதியை ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் தேசிய ஒற்றுமை தினமாக மத்திய அரசு அனுசரிக்கிறது.

அகமதாபாத்தில் தன் வக்கீல் தொழிலின் மூலம் உள்ளூர் மக்களின் பிரச்சனைகளுக்கு உதவி பிரபலமானார். 1917ஆம் ஆண்டு அகமதாபாத் மாநகராட்சி தேர்தலில் வெற்றி பெற்றார். சுதேசி இயக்கம் உச்சத்தில் இருந்தபோது காந்திஜியின் உரையைக் கேட்டு, வக்கீல் தொழிலை உதறி சுதேசி இயக்கத்தில் இணைந்தார்.

பார்டோலி என்ற இடத்தில் விவசாயிகளின் நலன் காக்க நடைபெற்ற போராட்டத்தில் படேலுக்கு வெற்றி கிடைத்தது. அப்போதிலிருந்து மக்களால் 'சர்தார்" என்று அன்போடு அழைக்கப்பட்டார்.

சுதந்திர இந்தியாவின் முதல் உள்துறை அமைச்சராகவும், துணைப் பிரதமராகவும் பணியாற்றினார். நாடு முழுவதும் ஆங்காங்கே துண்டு துண்டாக மன்னராட்சி நடந்துகொண்டிருந்த 565 ராஜ்ஜியங்களை ஒன்றிணைத்தது தான், உள்துறை அமைச்சராக இவர் ஆற்றிய முதல் பணி.

சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்தின் சிப்பாய் என்று அழைக்கப்பட்ட இவர் 1950ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 15ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார். 1991ஆம் ஆண்டு படேலுக்கு பாரத ரத்னா விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.

🌟1966ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 15ஆம் தேதி உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற கார்ட்டூன் ஓவியர் வால்ட் டிஸ்னி மறைந்தார் - On December 15, 1966, the world famous cartoonist Walt Disney passed away.
