மோதிலால் நேரு - Motilal Nehru - Lawyer - Activist and Politician :

✒️Today is Motilal Nehru's memorial day!

✒️A great man who dedicated his wealth for the freedom of India, was born on 6th May 1861 in Agra. It was Jawaharlal Nehru who brought the evils of British rule to him and made him join the freedom struggle. He became fully involved in politics during the partition of Bengal in 1905. Joined Gandhi in the freedom struggle. Joined the Indian National Congress Party in 1918. He served as the President of the Congress Party for two terms. Enchanted by simplicity, Motilal Nehru died on February 6, 1931 (today) at the age of 69.

இந்திய நாட்டின் சுதந்திரத்திற்காகத் தனது செல்வத்தை அர்ப்பணித்த மாபெரும் மனிதர் மோதிலால் நேரு 1861ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 6ஆம் தேதி ஆக்ராவில் பிறந்தார். ஜவஹர்லால் நேரு தான் பிரிட்டிஷ் அரசின் தீமைகளை இவருக்கு எடுத்துச் சொல்லி சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட வைத்தார். இவர் 1905ஆம் ஆண்டு வங்கப் பிரிவினை போதுதான் அவர் முழுமையாக அரசியலில் ஈடுபட்டார். காந்தியுடன் இணைந்து சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டார். 1918ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்திய தேசிய காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியில் இணைந்தார். இரண்டு முறை காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் தலைவராகப் பதவி வகித்தார். எளிமையால் கவரப்பட்டு தனது செல்வங்கள் அனைத்தையும் துறந்த மோதிலால் நேரு தனது 69வது வயதில் 1931ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 6ஆம் தேதி (இன்று) மறைந்தார்.

கான் அப்துல் கஃபார் கான் - Abdul Ghaffar Khan - Independence Activist :

✒️One of the important leaders of British India, Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, also known as the Frontier Gandhi, was born on February 6, 1890, in the village of Utmanzai in the Punjab province of British India (Pakistan). He was a close friend of Gandhi, attracted by his principles of non-violence and methods of struggle and entered politics. He formed an organization called Anjuman and through it engaged in the work of educating people and teaching the way of love. Later he merged his organization with the Congress. In 1929 he started a peace movement called Khudai Khidmatgar. This organization was instrumental in social reform and ending the British rule. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1987. He is the first foreigner to receive this award. Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan fondly known as Badshah Khan passed away on January 20, 1988 at the age of 97.

பிரிட்டிஷ் இந்தியாவின் முக்கிய தலைவர்களுள் ஒருவரும், எல்லைக் காந்தி என்றும் அழைக்கப்படும் கான் அப்துல் கஃபார் கான் 1890ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 6ஆம் தேதி பிரிட்டிஷ் இந்தியாவின் பஞ்சாப் மாகாணம் (பாகிஸ்தான்) உத்மான்ஜாய் என்ற கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார். இவர் காந்தியின் நெருங்கிய நண்பர், அவரின் அகிம்சை கொள்கைகளாலும், போராட்ட முறைகளாலும் கவரப்பட்டு அரசியலில் நுழைந்தார். அஞ்சுமான் என்ற அமைப்பை உருவாக்கி அதன்மூலம் மக்களுக்கு கல்வி கற்பித்தல், அன்பு வழியை போதித்தல் போன்ற பணிகளில் ஈடுபட்டார். பின்பு தனது அமைப்பை காங்கிரஸுடன் இணைத்தார். 1929ஆம் ஆண்டு குதாய் கித்மத்கர் என்ற அமைதி இயக்கத்தை தொடங்கினார். சமூக சீர்திருத்தத்திற்கும், பிரிட்டிஷ் ஆட்சியை முடிவுக்கு கொண்டுவரவும் இந்த அமைப்பு உதவியாக இருந்தது. இவருக்கு பாரத ரத்னா விருது 1987ஆம் ஆண்டு வழங்கப்பட்டது. இந்த விருதை பெற்ற முதல் வெளிநாட்டவர் இவர்தான். பாட்ஷா கான் என்று மக்களால் அன்போடு அழைக்கப்பட்ட கான் அப்துல் கஃபார் கான் 1988ஆம் ஆண்டு, ஜனவரி 20ந் தேதி தனது 97வது வயதில் மறைந்தார்.

🌟வானியல் புகைப்படக்கலையில் முன்னோடியாக இருந்தவரும், அவரது காலத்தில் முன்னணி கண்காணிப்பு வானியலாளராக இருந்தவருமான எட்வர்ட் எமர்சன் பர்னார்ட், பிப்ரவரி 6, 1923 அன்று காலமானார் - Edward Emerson Barnard, American Astronomer, a pioneer in astrophotography and the leading observational astronomer of his time, was passed away on February 6, 1923.
