சர்வதேச உணவுக் கட்டுப்பாடு இல்லா தினம் - International No Diet Day :
✒️No Diet Day is celebrated around the world on May 6 every year, and the day was created in 1992 by British feminist Mary Evans Young. She wanted to raise awareness about the dangers of dieting and promote body acceptance. It is now accepted and celebrated in many countries of the world.
✒️ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் மே 6 ஆம் தேதி உலகெங்கிலும் உணவுக் கட்டுப்பாடு இல்லா தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது, இந்நாள் 1992 ஆம் ஆண்டில் பிரிட்டிஷ் பெண்ணியவாதியான மேரி எவன்ஸ் யங் என்பவரால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. அவர் உணவுக் கட்டுப்பாட்டின் ஆபத்துகளைப் பற்றி விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தவும், உடல் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளலை ஊக்குவிக்கவும் விரும்பினார். இது இப்போது உலகின் பல நாடுகளில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
மோதிலால் நேரு - Motilal Nehru - Lawyer - Activist - Politician :
✒️Motilal Nehru, a great man who dedicated his wealth for the freedom of India, was born on 6th May 1861 in Agra. It was Jawaharlal Nehru who brought the evils of British rule to him and made him join the freedom struggle. He became fully involved in politics during the partition of Bengal in 1905. Joined Gandhi in the freedom struggle. Joined the Indian National Congress Party in 1918. He served as the President of the Congress Party for two terms. Enchanted by simplicity, Motilal Nehru died on February 6, 1931 at the age of 69.
✒️நாட்டின் சுதந்திரத்திற்காகத் தனது செல்வத்தை அர்ப்பணித்த மாபெரும் மனிதர் மோதிலால் நேரு 1861ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 6ஆம் தேதி ஆக்ராவில் பிறந்தார். ஜவஹர்லால் நேரு தான் பிரிட்டிஷ் அரசின் தீமைகளை இவருக்கு எடுத்துச் சொல்லி சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட வைத்தார். இவர் 1905ஆம் ஆண்டு வங்கப் பிரிவினையின் போதுதான் முழுமையாக அரசியலில் ஈடுபட்டார். ஜவஹர்லால் நேருவின் தூண்டுதலில் காந்தியுடன் இணைந்து சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டார். மகாத்மா காந்தியின் ஈர்ப்பால் 1918ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்திய தேசிய காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியில் இணைந்தார். இரண்டு முறை காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் தலைவராகப் பதவி வகித்தார். எளிமையால் கவரப்பட்டு தனது செல்வங்கள் அனைத்தையும் துறந்த மோதிலால் நேரு 1931ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 6ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

மரியா மாண்டிசோரி - Maria Tecla Artemisia Montessori - Italian Physician & Educator :
✒️Today is her memorial day!
✒️Italian physician and educator Maria was born on August 31, 1870 in Italy. Instead of notebooks, she made learning interesting by replacing notebooks with toys, color cards, sound making equipment, drawing, coloring sheets, putty etc. By this the children learned the lessons easily. She explored about 200 years of education system. She has also written many books. Her speeches at various places were compiled and published as books. In 1897, she formulated the principles for innovative educational programs. She also improved the learning ability of mentally retarded children. She came to India in 1939 and stayed for 8 years and trained many teachers in the Montessori method. She has also participated in many conferences. Maria Montessori passed away on 6th May 1952 (today), who introduced a sweet, simple, and exciting educational system that developed children's creativity.

✒️இத்தாலி மருத்துவரும், கல்வியாளருமான மரியா மாண்டிசோரி 1870ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 31ஆம் தேதி இத்தாலியில் பிறந்தார். நோட்டுப் புத்தகங்களுக்கு பதிலாக பொம்மை, வண்ண அட்டை, ஒலி எழுப்பும் கருவிகள், ஓவியம், வண்ணத்தாள்கள், புட்டிகள் போன்றவற்றைக் கொண்டு, கற்றலை சுவாரஸ்யமாக மாற்றினார். இதன்மூலம் குழந்தைகள் பாடங்களை எளிதாகக் கற்றனர். இவர் சுமார் 200 ஆண்டுகளின் கல்வி முறை குறித்து ஆராய்ந்தார். பல நூல்களையும் எழுதியுள்ளார். பல்வேறு இடங்களில் இவர் ஆற்றிய உரைகள் தொகுக்கப்பட்டு நூல்களாக வெளியிடப்பட்டது. புதுமைக் கல்வித் திட்டத்திற்கான கோட்பாடுகளை 1897ஆம் ஆண்டு உருவாக்கினார். மனவளர்ச்சி குன்றிய குழந்தைகளின் கற்கும் திறனையும் மேம்படுத்தினார். 1939ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்தியாவுக்கு வந்த இவர் 8 ஆண்டுகள் தங்கியிருந்து ஏராளமான ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு மாண்டிசோரி முறையில் பயிற்சி அளித்தார். பல மாநாடுகளிலும் பங்கேற்றுள்ளார். இனிமை, எளிமை, உற்சாகம் நிறைந்த கல்வி முறையை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி, அதன்மூலம் குழந்தைகளின் படைப்பாற்றலை மேம்படுத்திய மரியா மாண்டிசோரி 1952ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 6ந் தேதி (இன்று) மறைந்தார்.
