சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர் - Swami Vivekananda - Monk - Philosopher & Disciple of Ramakrishna (To Commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda 'National Youth Day' also celebrated today) :
✒️Swami Vivekananda, a pioneer of youth, was born on January 12, 1863 in Kolkata. His birthday, 12th January was declared as "National Youth Day" by the Government of India in 1984. He was the chief disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and founded organizations like 'Sri Ramakrishna Math' and 'Sri Ramakrishna Mission'. He dedicated his life to the betterment of the poor, the welfare of the helpless and the downtrodden, and to the nation. He sowed the seed of self-reliance among Indians who were in the dark under British rule. His solemn, pearly words and magnificent eloquence awakened the dormant national spirit. Attending the Chicago World Congress of Religions in 1893, he began his speech with, 'Brothers and sisters of America!'. He also went to England and many people became his disciples there and most famous among them was 'Sister Nivedita'. Swami Vivekananda a beacon for India, died at the young age of 39 (July 4, 1902).
- இளைஞர்களுக்கு எல்லாம் முன்னோடியாக திகழும் சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர் 1863ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 12ஆம் தேதி கொல்கத்தாவில் பிறந்தார். சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர் பிறந்த தினமான ஜனவரி 12ஆம் தேதியை இந்திய அரசு 1984ஆம் ஆண்டு "தேசிய இளைஞர் தினமாக" அறிவித்தது. இவர் ராமகிருஷ்ணா பரமஹம்சரின் தலைமை சீடராவார். மேலும் 'ஸ்ரீ ராமகிருஷ்ண மடம்" மற்றும் 'ஸ்ரீ ராமகிருஷ்ணா மிஷன்" போன்ற அமைப்புகளையும் நிறுவியவர். சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர் அவர்கள், ஏழை மக்களின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்காகவும், உதவியற்றோர் மற்றும் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோரின் நலனுக்காகவும், நாட்டிற்காகவும் தனது வாழ்க்கையை அர்ப்பணித்தார். ஆங்கிலேயர் ஆட்சியில், இருண்டுக் கிடந்த இந்தியர்களுக்கு மத்தியில் ஆர்வத்தை தூண்டும் விதமாக தன்னம்பிக்கை என்னும் விதையை விதைத்தார். அவரது ஆணித்தரமான, முத்துப் போன்ற வார்த்தைகளும், பிரமாதமான பேச்சுத்திறனும் உறங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்த தேசிய உணர்வைத் தூண்டியது. 1893ஆம் ஆண்டு சிகாகோ உலக மதங்களின் மாநாட்டில் கலந்து கொண்டு உரையை தொடங்குவதற்கு முன், 'அமெரிக்காவின் சகோதர, சகோதரிகளே!" என்று ஆரம்பித்தார். சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர் இங்கிலாந்திற்கும் சென்றார். அங்கே பல மக்கள் இவருக்கு சீடர்களாக மாறினர். அவர்களில் மிகவும் பிரபலமானவர், 'சகோதரி நிவேதிதா". இந்தியாவிற்கு ஒரு கலங்கரை விளக்கமாக திகழ்ந்த இவர் தன்னுடைய 39வது வயதில் (1902ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுலை 4) மறைந்தார்.

டாக்டர் பகவான் தாஸ் - Bhagwan Das - Indian Theosophist & Freedom Fighter :
✒️Freedom fighter Dr.Bhagwan Das was born on January 12, 1869 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He was very much involved in education and writing. He read many books on various religions and philosophies. He also worked for the liberation of the nation along with the Congress. He was determined to protect the Indian languages, culture and tradition which had been in a very poor condition due to the British rule. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1955. Philosopher Dr. Bhagwan Das passed away on 18th September 1958.
- சுதந்திரப் போராட்ட வீரர் டாக்டர் பகவான் தாஸ் 1869ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 12ஆம் தேதி உத்தரப்பிரதேச மாநிலம், வாரணாசியில் பிறந்தார். இவர் கல்வியிலும், எழுத்துப் பணிகளிலும் அதிக ஈடுபாடு கொண்டிருந்தார். பல்வேறு மதங்கள், தத்துவங்கள் குறித்து ஏராளமான நூல்களைப் படித்தார். மேலும் காங்கிரஸில் இணைந்து தேச விடுதலைக்காகப் பாடுபட்டார். இவர் ஆங்கிலேய ஆட்சி முறை காரணமாக மிக மோசமான நிலையில் இருந்து வந்த இந்திய மொழிகள், கலாச்சாரம், பண்பாட்டை காக்க வேண்டும் என உறுதியேற்றார். இவருக்கு 1955ஆம் ஆண்டு பாரத ரத்னா விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது. தத்துவமேதையுமான டாக்டர் பகவான் தாஸ் 1958ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 18ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟 ஜனவரி 12, 2010 அன்று ஹைட்டியில் ஏற்பட்ட 7.0 ரிக்டர் அளவிலான நிலநடுக்கத்தில் 100,000 முதல் 316,000 பேர் வரை இறந்தனர் - Between 100,000 and 316,000 people died in the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, 2010.
