உலக வாழ்விட தினம் - World Habitat Day :
✒️World Habitat Day is an international adherence celebrated on the first Monday of October. Founded by the United Nations, this global event is dedicated to addressing housing and urban development issues around the world. The day is observed to create awareness on the importance of adequate and sustainable housing for all people, regardless of socioeconomic status.
- உலக வாழ்விட தினம் என்பது அக்டோபர் முதல் திங்கட்கிழமை கொண்டாடப்படும் ஒரு சர்வதேச அனுசரிப்பு ஆகும். ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபையால் நிறுவப்பட்ட இந்த உலகளாவிய நிகழ்வு, உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள வீட்டுவசதி மற்றும் நகர்ப்புற மேம்பாட்டுப் பிரச்சினைகளைத் தீர்ப்பதற்காக அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. சமூகப் பொருளாதார நிலையைப் பொருட்படுத்தாமல் அனைத்து மக்களுக்கும் போதுமான மற்றும் நிலையான வீட்டுவசதியின் முக்கியத்துவம் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த இந்த நாள் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

காந்தி ஜெயந்தி - Gandhi Jayanti - ("International Day of Non-Violence" is also observed today as per United Nations General Assembly resolution A/RES 61/271) :
✒️Gandhiji was born on October 2, 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat. His birthday is celebrated as "Gandhi Jayanti" to commemorate his contribution to India's freedom struggle. He followed the two principles of truth and non-violence. The UN declared that Gandhi's philosophy of non-violence is still applicable today and declared Gandhi's birthday as the International Day of Non-Violence in 2007. He joined the Indian National Congress which was started in 1885 to carry forward the Indian freedom movement. In 1930, the British government imposed a tax on salt. But Gandhiji refused to accept tax on salt and to protest against this through satyagraha, thinking that 'should a foreigner impose tax on the product produced in his own country?' On August 8, 1942, Gandhi started the 'Quit India Movement' known as the 'August Revolution' against the British government. The British government was stunned by Gandhi's determination and non-violence. Finally, due to Gandhi's relentless struggle, India achieved independence on 15th August 1947. He died on 30th January 1948.
- காந்தியடிகள் குஜராத் மாநிலத்தில் போர்பந்தர் என்னுமிடத்தில் 1869ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 2ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார். இந்திய சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்திற்கு காந்தியடிகள் ஆற்றிய பங்களிப்பை நினைவுகூரும் வகையில், அவரது பிறந்த நாள் "காந்தி ஜெயந்தி" என்ற பெயரில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இவர் சத்தியம், அகிம்சை என்னும் இரண்டு கொள்கைகளை கடைபிடித்தார். காந்தியின் அகிம்சை தத்துவம் இன்றைக்கும் பொருந்தும் என்று அறிவித்த ஐ.நா. சபை, காந்தி பிறந்த தினத்தை சர்வதேச அகிம்சை தினமாக 2007ஆம் ஆண்டு அறிவித்தது.
- காந்தியடிகள் இந்திய விடுதலை இயக்கத்தை முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்ல 1885ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கப்பட்ட இந்திய தேசிய காங்கிரசில் இணைந்தார். 1930ஆம் ஆண்டு பிரிட்டிஷ் அரசு உப்புக்கு வரி விதித்தது. ஆனால், இதனை ஏற்க மறுத்த காந்தியடிகள், 'தன்னுடைய நாட்டில் விளைந்த பொருளுக்கு அந்நியர் வரி விதிப்பதா?" எனக் கருதி, சத்தியாகிரக முறையில் இதை எதிர்க்க முடிவு செய்தார்.
- 1942ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 8ஆம் தேதி ஆங்கில அரசுக்கு எதிராக 'ஆகஸ்ட் புரட்சி" என அழைக்கப்படும் 'வெள்ளையனே வெளியேறு" இயக்கத்தினை காந்தியடிகள் தொடங்கி வைத்தார். காந்தியின் மன உறுதியையும், அகிம்சை பலத்தையும் கண்ட ஆங்கில அரசு திகைத்தது. இறுதியில் காந்தியின் இடைவிடாத போராட்டத்தால், 1947ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 15ஆம் நாள் இந்தியா சுதந்திரம் அடைந்தது. இவர் 1948ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 30ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
லால் பகதூர் சாஸ்திரி - Lal Bahadur Shastri - Former & Second Prime Minister of India :
✒️Lal Bahadur Shastri, former Prime Minister of India, was born on October 2, 1904 in Mughalsarai, Uttar Pradesh. He participated in salt satyagraha in 1930 and was imprisoned for two and a half years. He stopped his studies and fought for the freedom of the country in response to Gandhiji's call. He passed away on 11th January 1966.
- இந்திய குடியரசின் முன்னாள் பிரதமர் லால் பகதூர் சாஸ்திரி 1904ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 2ஆம் தேதி உத்தரப்பிரதேச மாநிலத்திலுள்ள முகல்சராய் எனும் ஊரில் பிறந்தார்.
- இவர் 1930ஆம் ஆண்டு உப்பு சத்தியாகிரகத்தில் ஈடுபட்டு இரண்டரை ஆண்டுகள் சிறைத் தண்டனை பெற்றார். காந்தியடிகளின் அழைப்பிற்கு இணங்க அவர் தனது படிப்பை நிறுத்திக் கொண்டு நாட்டின் சுதந்திரத்திற்காக போராடினார். இவர் 1966ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 11ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟 1975ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 2ஆம் தேதி தமிழக முன்னாள் முதல்வர் காமராஜர் மறைந்தார் - Kamarajar, former chief minister of tamilnadu passed away on October 2, 1975.
