ஜாலியன் வாலாபாக் படுகொலை தினம் - The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre Day :

✒️Swadeshi movement and Satyagraha protests against the British government gained strength across the country. So the British government brought the Rowlatt Act (1919) to suppress the demand for freedom and take away the right of opinion of the people. In protest against this, on 13th April 1919, thousands of people gathered at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar. Seeing this gathering, the British government sent a force there under the command of General Dyer. General Dyer ordered to fire on the crowd without any warning. 1650 rounds were fired in this ten minute firing. Thousands of women and children were killed in this firing. It is observed in memory of freedom fighters.

✒️நாடு முழுவதும் பிரிட்டிஷ் அரசுக்கு எதிராக சுதேசி இயக்கம், சத்தியாக்கிரகம் போன்ற போராட்டங்கள் வலுப்பெற்றன. எனவே விடுதலை வேட்கையை அகற்றவும், மக்களின் கருத்துரிமையைப் பறிக்கவும் (1919) ரௌலட் சட்டத்தை ஆங்கிலேய அரசு கொண்டுவந்தது.

• இதற்கு எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்து 1919ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 13ஆம் தேதி அமிர்தசரஸ் நகரில் உள்ள ஜாலியன் வாலாபாக் திடலில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான மக்கள் கூடினர். இக்கூட்டத்தைக் கண்டு ஆங்கிலேய அரசு ஜெனரல் டயர் தலைமையில் ஒரு படையை அங்கு அனுப்பியது. 

• எவ்வித முன்னறிவிப்பும் இன்றி கூட்டத்தை நோக்கிச் சுட உத்தரவிட்டார் ஜெனரல் டயர். பத்து நிமிடங்கள் நடந்த இந்த துப்பாக்கிச் சூட்டில் 1650 தடவைகள் சுடப்பட்டன. இந்த துப்பாக்கிச் சூட்டில் பெண்கள், குழந்தைகள் உட்பட ஆயிரக்கணக்கானோர் படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்டனர். விடுதலைப் போராட்ட வீரர்களின் நினைவாக இத்தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

பட்டுக்கோட்டை கல்யாணசுந்தரம் - Pattukkottai Kalyanasundaram - Poet & Lyricist :

✒️The famous poet and thinker Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram was born on 13th April 1930 in a village called Sengapaduthankadu near Pattukottai in Thanjavur district. He had the ability to compose poetry at an early age. Janashakti magazine published his songs full of ideas and imagination. He started writing letters only after writing "Long live Guru Bharathidasan" who taught him Tamil. He wrote his first song in 1955 for the film "Paditha Pen" (Educated Girl). Through this, he made his mark in the film industry. Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram, who gave the remarkable and timeless songs "Chinna Payale Chinna Payale", "Thoongadhe Thambi Thoongadhe". Such a renowned poet passed away in 1959.

✒️பிரபல கவிஞர், சிந்தனையாளர் பட்டுக்கோட்டை கல்யாணசுந்தரம் 1930ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 13ஆம் தேதி தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டம் பட்டுக்கோட்டை அருகே உள்ள செங்கப்படுத்தான்காடு (சங்கம்படைத் தான்காடு) என்ற கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவர் சிறு வயதிலேயே கவிதை புனையும் ஆற்றல் பெற்றிருந்தார். கருத்தும், கற்பனையும் நிறைந்த இவரது பாடல்களை ஜனசக்தி பத்திரிக்கை வெளியிட்டு வந்தது.

• இவர் தனக்கு தமிழ் கற்பித்த குரு பாரதிதாசன் வாழ்க என்று எழுதிவிட்டுதான் கடிதம் எழுதத் தொடங்குவாராம். படித்த பெண் திரைப்படத்துக்காக 1955ஆம் ஆண்டு முதன்முதலாக பாடல் எழுதினார். இதன் மூலம் திரைப்படத் துறையில் தன் முத்திரையை பதித்தார்.

• சின்னப் பயலே சின்னப் பயலே, தூங்காதே தம்பி தூங்காதே ஆகிய குறிப்பிடத்தக்க, காலத்தால் அழியாத பாடல்களை வழங்கிய பட்டுக்கோட்டை கல்யாணசுந்தரம் 1959ஆம் ஆண்டு மறைந்தார்.

🌟1913ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 13ஆம் தேதி செய்திகள் வாசிப்பது எம்.ஆர்.எம்.சுந்தரம் என்ற குரலுக்கு சொந்தக்காரரான மே.ரா.மீ.சுந்தரம் திருநெல்வேலி மாவட்டம் மேலநத்தம் கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார் - On April 13, 1913, M.R.M.Sundaram, a renowned news reader, was born in Melanatham village of Tirunelveli district.

🌟 1954ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 13ஆம் தேதி காமராஜர் சென்னை மாநிலத்தின் முதல்வரானார் - On 13 April 1954, Kamaraj became the Chief Minister of Madras State.

🌟 2006ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 13ஆம் தேதி கூகுள் காலண்டர் வெளியிடப்பட்டது - Google Calendar was released on April 13, 2006.
