உலக அயோடின் தினம் - World Iodine Day :
✒️World Iodine Day is observed annually on 21st October. This festival is celebrated to make everyone aware of iodine deficiency. Iodine deficiency affects cognitive function in young adults. Nervousness occurs in adults. So the main purpose of this is to use iodized salt daily.
- உலக அயோடின் தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் அக்டோபர் 21ஆம் தேதி கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. அயோடின் பற்றாக்குறை குறித்து அனைவருக்கும் விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில் இத்தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
- அயோடின் சத்துக் குறைபாட்டால் இளம் வயதினரின் அறிவுத்திறன் பாதிக்கப்படும். பெரியவர்களுக்கு நரம்புத்தளர்ச்சி ஏற்படும். எனவே தினமும் அயோடின் கலந்த உப்பினைப் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்பதே இத்தினத்தின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும்.

சுர்ஜித் சிங் பர்னாலா - Surjit Singh Barnala, Former Member of Parliament, Governor, Chief minister of Punjab & Advocate :
✒️Surjit Singh Barnala was born on 21st October 1925 in Haryana. He served as the State Governor of Tamil Nadu from November 3, 2004 to August 31, 2011. That apart he participated in the Quit India Movement in 1942 when he was in Lucknow. In 1967, he practiced as Advocate in Barnala District Court. He became the Education Minister of Punjab in 1969. In 1977, he became a Member of Parliament and posted as Minister of Agriculture and Food under Morarji Desai's Government. In 1985, he was elected as the leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal party and then became the Chief Minister of Punjab. Elected to the Lok Sabha in 1996 and 1998, he became the Minister of Chemicals, Fertilizers and Food. One of the longest serving governors, Surjit Singh Barnala passed away on 14th January 2017.
- தமிழக முன்னாள் ஆளுநர் சுர்ஜித் சிங் பர்னாலா 1925ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 21ஆம் தேதி ஹரியானாவில் பிறந்தார். தமிழ்நாட்டின் மாநில ஆளுநராக நவம்பர் 3, 2004ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் ஆகஸ்ட் 31, 2011ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை பணியாற்றியுள்ளார்.
- இவர் 1942ஆம் ஆண்டு லக்னோவில் இருந்தபோது வெள்ளையனே வெளியேறு இயக்கத்தில் கலந்து கொண்டார். 1967ஆம் ஆண்டு பர்னாலாவில் மாவட்ட நீதிமன்ற வழக்கறிஞராக பணியாற்றினார்.
- 1969ஆம் ஆண்டு பஞ்சாப் மாநில கல்வி அமைச்சரானார். 1977ஆம் ஆண்டு பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினராகி மொரார்ஜி தேசாய் தலைமையில் விவசாயம் மற்றும் உணவுத்துறை அமைச்சரானார். 1985ஆம் ஆண்டு சிரோமணி அகாலி தள் கட்சி தலைவராக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு பஞ்சாப் மாநில முதல்வரானார்.
- மக்களவை உறுப்பினராக 1996ஆம் ஆண்டு மற்றும் 1998ஆம் ஆண்டுகளில் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு வேதிப்பொருட்கள், உரம் மற்றும் உணவுத்துறை அமைச்சரானார். அதிக ஆண்டுகள் ஆளுநராக இருந்தவர்களில் ஒருவரான சுர்ஜித் சிங் பர்னாலா 2017ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 14ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
ஆல்ஃபிரட் நோபல் - Alfred Nobel - Chemist, Inventor :
✒️Alfred Bernhard Nobel, creator of the Nobel Prize, was born on October 21, 1833, in Sweden. He patented the invention of the gas meter in 1857. He was involved in the study of explosives, as a result in 1863 discovered explosives. After many attempts he discovered dynamite and safety powder in 1867. In 1875 he invented plastic gelatin. He also invented the smoke-free polystyrene gunpowder needed for small arms. He is the owner of a large arms manufacturing company called Bofors. In his memory an element was named Nobelium. He holds approximately 350 patents internationally. According to his "Last Will" his assets should be divided into five parts and to be used for prizes in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and peace to “those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind.” Alfred Nobel died on 10th December 1896, who was the cause of international recognition of the world's greatest scientists.
- நோபல் பரிசினை உருவாக்கிய ஆல்ஃபிரட் நோபல் 1833ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 21ஆம் தேதி சுவீடனில் பிறந்தார். இவர் 1857ஆம் ஆண்டு எரிவாயு மீட்டர் குறித்த கண்டுபிடிப்புக்கு காப்புரிமை பெற்றார். மேலும் வெடிபொருட்கள் குறித்த ஆய்வில் ஈடுபட்டு, 1863ஆம் ஆண்டு வெடிமருந்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்தார்.
- பல முயற்சிகளுக்குப் பிறகு டைனமைட்டையும், சேஃப்டி பவுடரையும் 1867ஆம் ஆண்டு இவர் கண்டுபிடித்தார். 1875ஆம் ஆண்டு பிளாஸ்டிக் ஜெலட்டினைக் கண்டுபிடித்தார். சிறிய ஆயுதங்களுக்குத் தேவைப்படும் புகை வெளியிடாத பாலிஸ்டைட் வகை கன் பவுடரையும் கண்டுபிடித்தார்.
- இவர் போஃபர்ஸ் என்னும் பெரிய ஆயுத உற்பத்தி நிறுவனத்திற்கு உரிமையாளர் ஆவார். இவரது நினைவாக ஒரு தனிமத்திற்கு நோபலியம் என்று பெயரிடப்பட்டது. இவர் சர்வதேச அளவில் சுமார் 350 காப்புரிமைகளைப் பெற்றார்.
- அவரது "கடைசி உயிலின்" படி அவரது சொத்துக்கள் ஐந்து பகுதிகளாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டு, இயற்பியல், வேதியியல், உடலியல் அல்லது மருத்துவம், இலக்கியம் மற்றும் அமைதிக்கான பரிசுகளுக்குப் பயன்படுத்தபடுகின்றது.
- உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள தலைசிறந்த விஞ்ஞானிகளை, சர்வதேச அளவில் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட காரணமாக இருந்த ஆல்ஃபிரெட் நோபல் 1896ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 10ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟The Central Provinces Tenancy Act, 1898 : It was enacted & enforced on 21st October 1898, to consolidate and amend the Law relating to Agricultural Tenancies in the Central Provinces.
🌟 அக்டோபர் 21ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவில் காவலர் தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது - Indian Police Commemoration Day is observed on October 21st every year in India.
🌟 ஐக்கிய ராஜ்யத்தில் ஆப்பிள் தினம் 1990 ஆண்டிலிருந்து அக்டோபர் 21ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது - Apple Day in the United Kingdom has been celebrated on 21 October since 1990.
🌟1945ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 21ஆம் தேதி, பிரான்சில் முதல்முறையாக பெண்கள் பாராளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் வாக்களித்தனர் - In France, women voted for the first time in parliamentary elections on October 21, 1945.
🌟1835ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 21ஆம் தேதி கர்நாடக இசை மும்மூர்த்திகளில் ஒருவரான முத்துசுவாமி தீட்சிதர் மறைந்தார் - On October 21, 1835, one of the trinity of Carnatic music, Muthuswami Dikshitar passed away.
