அஞ்சு பாபி ஜார்ஜ் - Anju Bobby George - Indian Athlete (First Indian Athlete to win a medal in a World Championships in Athletics jumping 6.70 meters) :

✒️Indian athlete Anju Bobby George was born on 19th April 1977 in Changanassery, Kerala. She won the bronze medal in the long jump at the 2003 World Athletics Championships in Paris by clearing a distance of 6.70 meters. She was also the first Indian athlete to win the World Athletics Championships. She has won the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award for the year 2003-04 & Padma Shri Award in 2004.

✒️இந்திய தடகள வீராங்கனை அஞ்சு பாபி ஜார்ஜ் 1977ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 19ஆம் தேதி கேரளாவில் உள்ள சங்கனாச்சேரில் பிறந்தார். இவர் 2003ஆம் ஆண்டு பாரிசில் நடந்த உலக தடகள போட்டியில் 6.70 மீட்டர் தூரம் தாண்டி, நீளம் தாண்டுதலில் வெண்கலப் பதக்கம் வென்றார். மேலும் இவரே உலக தடகளப் போட்டியில் வென்ற முதல் இந்திய தடகள வீரர் ஆவார். 2003-04ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான ராஜீவ் காந்தி கேல் ரத்னா விருது மற்றும் 2004ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான பத்ம ஸ்ரீ  விருதினையும் வென்றுள்ளார்.

சார்லஸ் டார்வின் - Charles Robert Darwin - Naturalist - Geologist and Biologist :

✒️Today is Darwin's Memorial Day!

✒️Charles Robert Darwin, who introduced the theory of evolution to the world, was born on 12th February 1809 in Shrewsbury, England. His birthday is celebrated around the world as "Darwin's Day" to highlight Darwin's contribution to scientific development and to promote science. An early age of his life, he was very interested in animals, worms and insects. After graduation, his entire focus was on research into the origin of living things. He received an invitation from his professor, Robert Fitzroy, captain of the HMS Beagle, to set sail for the South American coast. This research lasted for five years from 1831 onwards. During the research, he has collected a large number of bones and plants and specimens of rocks of various species such as reptiles, birds and reptiles. He compiled his findings and experiences and published the book "The Voyage of the Beagle." Darwin's theory of evolution was developed. He authored a book "On the Origin of Species" explaining the life struggle of living things. The developer of new ideas about the evolution of living things was died on 19th April 1882.

✒️பரிணாம வளர்ச்சியின் தந்தை சார்லஸ் ராபர்ட் டார்வின் 1809ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 12ஆம் தேதி இங்கிலாந்திலுள்ள ஷ்ரூஸ்பெரி என்ற இடத்தில் பிறந்தார். அறிவியல் வளர்ச்சியில் டார்வினின் பங்களிப்பை முன்னிலைப்படுத்தவும், விஞ்ஞானத்தை ஊக்குவிக்கும் விதமாகவும் இவருடைய பிறந்த தினம் உலகம் முழுவதும் "டார்வின் தினம்" (Darwin's Day) ஆக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இவர் படித்து முடித்த பிறகு இவருடைய கவனம் முழுவதும் உயிரினங்களின் தோற்றம் பற்றிய ஆராய்ச்சியிலேயே இருந்து வந்தது. பலவகையான ஊர்வன, பறப்பன, நடப்பன என அரிய வகை உயிரினங்களின் எலும்புகள் மற்றும் தாவரங்கள், பாறைகளின் மாதிரிகளையும் இவர் ஏராளமாகச் சேகரித்தார். தன் கண்டுபிடிப்புகளையும், அனுபவங்களையும் திரட்டி "தி வாயேஜ் ஆப் தி பீகில்" (The Voyage of the Beagle) என்ற புத்தகத்தை வெளியிட்டார். இதன் மூலம் டார்வினின் பரிணாம வளர்ச்சி கோட்பாடு உருவானது. உயிரினங்களின் வாழ்க்கைப் போராட்டத்தை விளக்கி "ஆன் தி ஆரிஜின் ஆப் ஸ்பீசிஸ்" (On the Origin of Species) என்ற புத்தகத்தை எழுதினார். உயிரினங்களின் பரிணாம வளர்ச்சி குறித்து புதிய சிந்தனையை உருவாக்கிய சார்லஸ் டார்வின் 1882ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 19ந் தேதி (இன்று) மறைந்தார்.

Pierre Curie - Renowned Physicist

பியரி கியூரி - Pierre Curie - Physicist - Pioneer in Crystallography - Magnetism -  Piezoelectricity and Radioactivity (Marie Curie's Husband) :

✒️Today is his memorial day!

✒️Pierre Curie was born on May 15, 1859 in Paris. At the age of 21, he joined his brother in scientific research and discovered the piezo electric effect. He developed a Torsion Balance to detect magnetic properties. Then he discovered the law about the transformation of magnetic materials by heat is Curie's law. Ferromagnetic materials lose their magnetism when the temperature increases, this temperature is known as the Curie point. In 1903, Henri Becquerel, along with Marie Curie, won the Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery of radioactivity. They detected alpha, beta and gamma rays using magnetic fields. The unit used to measure radioactivity is called the Curie unit. Pierre Curie, the pioneer of radioactivity, born into a Nobel laureate family, passed away on April 19, 1906 (today).

✒️இன்று இவரின் நினைவு தினம்!

✒️சிறந்த கண்டுபிடிப்புகளை கண்டறிந்த பியரி கியூரி 1859ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 15ஆம் தேதி பாரிஸில் பிறந்தார். இவர் 21வது வயதில் தன் சகோதரருடன் இணைந்து அறிவியல் ஆராய்ச்சியில் ஈடுபட்டு பியூசோ மின் குவார்ட்ஸ் மின்னோட்டமானியை (Piezo Electric Effect) கண்டறிந்தர். இவர் காந்த குணங்களைக் கண்டறிவதற்காக டார்சன் பேலன்ஸ் (Torsion Balance) ஒன்றை உருவாக்கினார். பிறகு காந்தப் பொருட்கள் வெப்பத்தால் அடையும் மாற்றம் பற்றி இவர் கண்டறிந்த விதிமுறை கியூரி விதி ஆகும். வெப்ப நிலை அதிகமாகும்போது இரும்புக் காந்தப் பொருட்கள் காந்தத்தன்மையை இழந்துவிடும், இந்த வெப்ப நிலை கியூரி பாயின்ட் எனப்படுகிறது. கதிரியக்கத்தைக் கண்டறிந்தமைக்காக 1903ஆம் ஆண்டு ஹென்றி பெக்கெரல், மேரி கியூரியுடன் சேர்ந்து இயற்பியலுக்கான நோபல் பரிசை வென்றார். காந்தப் புலங்களைப் பயன்படுத்தி ஆல்பா, பீட்டா, காமா கதிர்களை கண்டறிந்தனர். கதிரியக்கத்தை அளக்கப் பயன்படும் அலகு கியூரி அலகு என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டது. நோபல் பரிசுக் குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்த கதிரியக்கக் கண்டுபிடிப்பின் முன்னோடி பியரி கியூரி 1906ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 19ந் தேதி (இன்று) மறைந்தார்.

🌟1987ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 19ஆம் தேதி, உலகின் முன்னாள் நம்பர் 1 ரஷ்ய டென்னிஸ் வீராங்கனையும், ஒலிம்பிக் பதக்கம் வென்றவருமான மரியா ஷரபோவா ரஷ்யாவில் பிறந்தார் - On April 19, 1987, former World No. 1 Russian tennis player and Olympic medalist Maria Sharapova was born in Russia.
