U.V.Swaminatha Iyer - Tamil Scholar

உ.வே.சாமிநாத ஐயர் - Uttamadhanapuram Venkatasubbaiyer Swaminatha Iyer - Tamil Scholar & Researcher :

✒️Tamil grandfather U.V.Swaminatha Iyer was born on February 19, 1855 in a village called Uttamadanapuram near Kumbakonam. He searched for and published many of the ancient Tamil literatures which were on the verge of disappearing because the ancient Tamil texts were old and needed to be updated. Through this he made the world aware of the antiquity and richness of Tamil literature. He has protected them from destruction and made the future generations feel the pride of Tamil. He died on April 28, 1942 after working till the end for Tamil literature.

✒️தமிழ்த்தாத்தா உ.வே.சாமிநாத ஐயர் 1855ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 19ஆம் தேதி கும்பகோணத்திற்கு அருகே உத்தமதானபுரம் என்ற சிற்றூரில் பிறந்தார். பழந்தமிழ் ஏடுகள் பழையனவாக இருந்ததால் அவற்றைப் புதுப்பிக்க வேண்டும் என்று அழிந்து மறைந்து போகும் நிலையில் இருந்த பண்டைத்தமிழ் இலக்கியங்கள் பலவற்றை தேடித் தேடி அச்சிட்டு பதிப்பித்தார். இதன் மூலம் தமிழ் இலக்கியத்தின் தொன்மையையும், செழுமையையும் உலகறியச் செய்தார். அவற்றை அழிவிலிருந்து காத்ததோடு அடுத்தடுத்து வரும் தலைமுறையினருக்கும் தமிழின் பெருமையை உணர்த்தியுள்ளார். தமிழ் இலக்கியத்திற்காக இறுதிவரை பணியாற்றிய இவர் 1942ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 28ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி - Chhatrapati Shivaji (Shivaji Bhonsale) Indian Ruler - Member of Bhonsle Maratha Clan :

✒️Chhatrapati Shivaji was born on February 19, 1627 at Shivneri Fort in Pune District, Maharashtra, India. During his reign, which is considered to be the golden age in the history of South India, he was a great ruler with an excellent administrative structure and a strong military structure. Chhatrapati Shivaji, whose bravery, fighting skills and artistry are still celebrated today, he died on April 3, 1680.

✒️வீரமிக்க மாமன்னன் சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி 1627ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 19ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவின் மகாராஷ்டிரா மாநிலம் புனே மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள சிவநேரி கோட்டை என்ற இடத்தில் பிறந்தார். தென்னிந்திய வரலாற்றில் பொற்காலம் என கருதப்படும் இவருடைய ஆட்சிக் காலத்தில், சிறப்பான நிர்வாக கட்டமைப்பினையும், வலுவான படை அமைப்பினையும் கொண்டு சிறந்த ஆட்சியாளராகவும் விளங்கினார். வீரத்தையும், போர்த்திறமையையும், கலையுணர்வையும் இன்றளவும் பறைசாற்றி கொண்டிருக்கும் சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி 1680ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 3ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

நிக்கோலாஸ் கோப்பர்னிக்கஸ் - Nicolaus Copernicus -  Mathematician and Astronomer :

✒️The world famous pioneer astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus was born on 19th February 1473 in Thorn, Poland. His given name is Mikołaj Kopernik. While studying at university, he changed his name to Nicolaus Copernicus. His research was carried out without any telescopic equipment. He rejected the hitherto accepted theory of earth centrism and divided the heliocentric theory. He also explained the backward motion of the planets and their light differences. He defined the locations of the stars. After his time his theories were accepted by famous astronomers including Galileo. He authored a book, "On the Revolution of the Heavenly Spheres". In it he accurately stated that the earth rotates on its axis and that the earth revolves around the moon. Nicolaus Copernicus, who not only served as an astronomer, but also as a legal expert, physician, archaeologist, clergyman, governor, and ambassador, died on 24th May 1543.

✒️உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற முன்னோடி வானியலாளர் நிக்கோலாஸ் கோப்பர்னிக்கஸ் 1473ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 19ஆம் தேதி போலந்து நாட்டின் தோர்ன் நகரில் பிறந்தார். இவரின் இயற்பெயர் மைகொலாஜ் கோபர்நிக். பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் படித்தபோது, நிக்கோலாஸ் கோப்பர்னிக்கஸ் என்று மாற்றிக்கொண்டார். எந்த தொலைநோக்கி கருவியும் இல்லாமலேயே இவரது ஆராய்ச்சிகள் நடைபெற்றன. வானியல் குறித்து அதுவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வந்த புவி மையக்கோட்பாட்டை மறுத்து சூரிய மையக்கோட்பாட்டை வகுத்தார். கோள்களின் பின்னோக்கிய நகர்வு, அவற்றின் ஒளி வேறுபாடுகள் ஆகியவற்றையும் விளக்கினார். விண்மீன்கள் அமைந்துள்ள இடங்களை வரையறுத்துக் கூறினார். இவரது காலத்துக்கு பிறகே இவரது கோட்பாடுகளை கலீலியோ உள்ளிட்ட பிரபல வானியலாளர்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர். ஆன் தி ரெவல்யூஷன் ஆஃப் தி ஹெவன்லி ஸ்பியர்ஸ் என்ற நூலில் தனது ஆய்வுகள் குறித்து எழுதியுள்ளார். இதில் பூமி தனது அச்சில் சுழல்கிறது என்பதையும், பூமியை சந்திரன் சுற்றி வருகிறது என்றும் துல்லியமாக குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தார்.வானியல் ஆய்வாளராக மட்டுமல்லாமல், சட்ட நிபுணர், மருத்துவர், பழங்கலை அறிஞர், மதகுரு, ஆளுநர், அரசு தூதர் என பல துறைகளில் தனது பங்களிப்பை வழங்கிய நிக்கோலாஸ் கோப்பர்னிக்கஸ் 1543ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 24ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟அதிர்வலைகள் மற்றும் ஒலியின் வேகம் பற்றிய ஆய்வுகளுக்காக அறியப்பட்ட ஆஸ்திரிய இயற்பியலாளர் எர்ன்ஸ்ட் மாக், 1916 ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 19 ஆம் தேதி இறந்தார் - Ernst Mach, an Austrian physicist known for his studies of shock waves and the speed of sound, died on February 19, 1916.
