Galileo Galilei - Renowned Astronomer

கலீலியோ கலிலி - Galileo di Vincenzo Bonaiuti de' Galilei - Italian Astronomer -  Physicist - Engineer - Polymath:

✒️Galileo Galilei, who revolutionized science, was born on February 15, 1564 in Italy. He researched to develop a device to detect objects that are close to distant objects. After some persistence he found a device with 3x magnification. He then invented the 10x magnifying telescope. He also discovered through his telescope the different faces of Venus and four large moons (known to his credit as the Moons of Galilee) orbiting Jupiter. Galileo also invented various instruments, including an improved military compass. Galileo's heliocentric theory was not accepted. As a result, Galileo was placed under house arrest in 1632. He later provided much evidence for his heliocentrism in his book "Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems". It was while under house arrest that Galileo wrote one of his greatest works, his final work, Two New Sciences. In it he compiled studies on fields like dialectics and strength of materials. Proudly known as 'Father of Objective Astronomy', 'Father of Modern Physics' and 'Father of Modern Science', he died on 8th January 1642.

• அறிவியலில் புரட்சியை ஏற்படுத்திய கலீலியோ கலிலி 1564ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 15ஆம் தேதி இத்தாலியில் பிறந்தார். இவர் தூர உள்ள பொருட்களை கிட்டவாக பார்க்கும் பொருளை கண்டறிய ஒரு சாதனத்தை உருவாக்க வேண்டுமென ஆராய்ச்சி மேற்கொண்டார். விடாமுயற்சிக்கு பிறகு 3 மடங்கு உருப்பெருக்கவல்ல ஒரு சாதனத்தை கண்டுபிடித்தார். அதை தொடர்ந்து 10 மடங்கு உருப்பெருக்கும் தொலைநோக்கியை (Telescope) கண்டுபிடித்தார். இவர் தொலைநோக்கி மூலம் வெள்ளியின் வெவ்வேறு முகங்கள் மற்றும் வியாழனை நான்கு பெரிய நிலாக்கள் (இவரது புகழைச் சொல்லும் வகையில் கலீலியின் நிலவுகள் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகின்றன) சுற்றி வருவதாகவும் கண்டறிந்தார். மேலும் கலீலியோ மேம்படுத்தப்பட்ட இராணுவ திசைக்காட்டி உட்பட பல்வேறு கருவிகளை கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளார். கலீலியோவின் சூரியமையக் கொள்கை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்படவில்லை. இதன் விளைவாக 1632ஆம் ஆண்டு கலீலியோ வீட்டுச்சிறையில் வைக்கப்பட்டார். பிறகு தனது இருவகை முதன்மை உலக கண்ணோட்டம் சார்ந்த உரையாடல்கள் என்ற புத்தகத்தில் இவருடைய சூரியமைய கொள்கைக்கு நிறைய சான்றுகளை அளித்தார். கலீலியோ வீட்டுச்சிறையில் இருந்தபோது தான், தன் மிகச்சிறந்த படைப்புகளில் ஒன்றும், இறுதிப் படைப்புமான இரண்டு புதிய அறிவியல்கள் என்ற நூலை எழுதினார். அதில் இயங்கியல், பொருட்களின் வலிமை போன்ற துறைகளைப் பற்றிய ஆய்வுகளை தொகுத்து அளித்தார். 'நோக்கு வானியலின் தந்தை", 'நவீன இயற்பியலின் தந்தை", 'நவீன அறிவியலின் தந்தை" என்று பலவாறாக பெருமையுடன் அழைக்கப்படும் இவர் 1642ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 8ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟 1946ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 15ஆம் தேதி ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) என்ற முதல் தலைமுறை கணினி அறிமுகமானது - The first generation computer, ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) was introduced on February 15, 1946.

🌟 1988ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 15ஆம் தேதி நோபல் பரிசு பெற்ற அமெரிக்க இயற்பியலாளரான ரிச்சர்டு பெயின்மான் மறைந்தார் - Richard Feynman, the Nobel Prize-winning American physicist, died on February 15, 1988.

🌟பிப்ரவரி 15, 2017 அன்று, இந்திய விண்வெளி ராக்கெட் PSLV-C37 ஒரே விமானத்தில் 104 செயற்கைக்கோள்களை வெற்றிகரமாக விண்ணில் செலுத்தியது - On February 15, 2017, Indian space rocket PSLV-C37 successfully launched 104 satellites in a single flight.

🌟பிப்ரவரி 15, 1903இல், மென்மையான பொம்மை கண்டுபிடிப்பாளரும், உற்பத்தியாளருமான மோரிஸ் மிக்டோம் மூலம் முதல் கரடி பொம்மை (Teddy Bear) விற்பனைக்கு வந்தது - On February 15, 1903, the first teddy bear comes for sale by soft toy inventor and manufacturer Morris Michtom.
