சீர்காழி கோவிந்தராஜன் - Sirkazhi Govindarajan - India's Legendary Singer :
✒️Sirkazhi S.Govindarajan, Carnatic music singer and film playback singer was born on January 19, 1933 in Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai district, P.S.Chettiar, on their advice, joined the Chennai Tamil College of Music and studied music. He received the title of Isaimamani (1949) and Sangeetha Vidwan (1951). In 1951, he won 3 gold medals in the competitions held at the Chennai Music Academy. In the year 1953, he made his debut in the Tamil film industry by singing the song 'Siripputhaan Varugudhaiya' by Suddhananda Bharti in the film Ponvayal. Before this, he had sung Athichudi song for the Avvaiyaar film. He has received many awards including Sangeetha Akademi Award, Music Scholar Award, Padma Shri. He has also shown his great acting skills in many films including Dheiva Thirumanangal, Agathiyar, Rajarajacholan. Sirkazhi Govindarajan, who stole the hearts of fans with his sweet voice, passed away on March 24, 1988.
- கர்நாடக இசைப்பாடகரும், திரைப்பட பின்னணி பாடகருமான சீர்காழி எஸ்.கோவிந்தராஜன் 1933ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 19ஆம் தேதி மயிலாடுதுறை மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள சீர்காழியில் பிறந்தார். பி.எஸ்.செட்டியார், அவர்களின் அறிவுரையின்படி சென்னை தமிழ் இசைக் கல்லூரியில் சேர்ந்து இசை பயின்றார். இவர் இசைமாமணி பட்டமும் (1949), சங்கீத வித்வான் பட்டமும் (1951) பெற்றார். 1951ஆம் ஆண்டு சென்னை மியூசிக் அகாடமியில் நடந்த போட்டிகளில் 3 தங்கப் பதக்கங்களை வென்றார். 1953ஆம் ஆண்டு பொன்வயல் என்ற படத்தில் சுத்தானந்த பாரதியின் சிரிப்புத்தான் வருதையா என்ற பாடலை தன் வெண்கலக் குரலில் பாடி தமிழ் திரையுலகுக்கு அறிமுகமானார். இதற்கு முன்னரே ஒளவையார் திரைப்படத்துக்காக ஆத்திச்சூடி பாடியிருந்தார். சங்கீத அகாடமி விருது, இசைப் பேரறிஞர் விருது, பத்மஸ்ரீ உள்ளிட்ட பல விருதுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளார். தெய்வத் திருமணங்கள், அகத்தியர், ராஜராஜசோழன் உள்ளிட்ட பல படங்களில் தனது அபார நடிப்பாற்றலையும் வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளார். தன் இனிமையான குரலால் பாடி, ரசிகர்களின் இதயங்களைக் கொள்ளை கொண்ட சீர்காழி கோவிந்தராஜன் 1988ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 24ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
ஜேம்ஸ் வாட் - James Watt - Scottish Inventor, Engineer & Chemist :
✒️James Watt, who made many inventions, was born on January 19, 1736 in Scotland. He has been interested in drawing since childhood. At the age of 18, he was apprenticed to a tool maker in London for a year. Later he was working in making machines. In 1764 he got an opportunity to repair Thomas Newcomen's steam engine. He changed it. These changes increased the power of the engine many times over. He also got a patent for it. He also invented a centrifugal governor to control the speed of an engine, a pressure gauge, an instrument to record mass, force, speed and distance, and a throttle-valve to control steam. He worked with engineer Matthew Bolton to produce various steam engines. Therefore, the world praised him as the hero of industrial revolution. Watt is the unit of measurement of electricity named after him. He is the one who gave the world the system of measurement called horse power. James Watt, who made many great inventions with natural steam power, died on August 25, 1819.
- பல கண்டுபிடிப்புகளை உருவாக்கிய ஜேம்ஸ் வாட் 1736ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 19ஆம் தேதி ஸ்காட்லாந்தில் பிறந்தார். இவருக்கு சிறுவயதில் இருந்தே வரைவதில் ஆர்வம் அதிகம். 18 வயதில் லண்டனில் கருவிகள் தயாரிக்கும் நிறுவனத்தில் ஓராண்டு பயிற்சி பெற்றார். பின்பு இயந்திரங்கள் தயாரிக்கும் வேலை பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார். இவருக்கு 1764ஆம் ஆண்டு தாமஸ் நியூகாமன் என்பவரின் நீராவி இயந்திரத்தைப் பழுது பார்க்கும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது. அதை மாற்றம் செய்தார். இந்த மாற்றங்களால் இயந்திரத்தின் சக்தி பல மடங்கு பெருகியது. அதற்கு காப்புரிமையையும் பெற்றார். இவர் இயந்திரத்தின் வேகத்தைக் கட்டுப்படுத்த உதவும் சென்ட்ரிஃபியூகல் கவர்னர் கருவி, அழுத்தமானி, பொருள் அளவு, விசை, வேகம், தொலைவு ஆகியவற்றை பதிவு செய்யும் கருவி, நீராவியைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தும் த்ராட்டில்-வால்வு ஆகியவற்றையும் கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளார். இவர் பொறியாளர் மேத்யூ போல்டனுடன் இணைந்து பல்வேறு நீராவி இயந்திரங்களைத் தயாரித்துள்ளார். எனவே தொழிற்புரட்சிக்கு வித்திட்ட நாயகர் என்று உலகம் இவரைப் போற்றியது. மின்சாரம் கணக்கிடும் அளவுமுறைக்கு வாட் என இவரது பெயரே சூட்டப்பட்டது. ஹார்ஸ் பவர் (குதிரைத் திறன்) என்ற அளவு முறையை உலகுக்குத் தந்தவர் இவரே. இயற்கையான நீராவி சக்தியை கொண்டு மகத்தான பல கண்டுபிடிப்புகளை உருவாக்கிய ஜேம்ஸ் வாட் 1819ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 25ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
