உலக பத்திரிக்கை சுதந்திர தினம் - World Press Freedom Day :

✒️Freedom of the press is mentioned as one of the human rights. According to the resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1993, May 3rd was adopted as Press Freedom Day every year. It was also declared a special day by the United Nations to remind the governments of the world of the right to freedom of expression contained in Section 19 of the Charter of Human Rights. UNESCO says that freedom of the press must be able to express fundamental rights. Hence, this day is observed to protect the press and press freedom.

✒️பத்திரிக்கை சுதந்திரம் என்பது மனித உரிமைகளில் ஒன்றாக குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. 1993ஆம் ஆண்டு ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பொதுச்சபைக் கூட்டத்தில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்ட தீர்மானத்தின்படி ஆண்டுதோறும் மே 3ஆம் தேதி பத்திரிக்கை சுதந்திர நாளாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. மனித உரிமைகள் சாசனம் பகுதி 19-ல் இடம்பெற்றுள்ள பேச்சுரிமைக்கான சுதந்திரத்தை உலக நாடுகளின் அரசுகளுக்கு நினைவூட்டவும் ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபையில் சிறப்பு நாளாகப் பிரகடனப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. அடிப்படை உரிமைகளை வெளிப்படுத்தக்கூடிய வகையில் பத்திரிக்கை சுதந்திரம் இருக்க வேண்டும் என யுனெஸ்கோ கூறுகிறது. பத்திரிக்கையையும், பத்திரிக்கை சுதந்திரத்தையும் பாதுகாக்க இத்தினமானது அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

சுஜாதா - S.Rangarajan (Sujatha) - Indian Author -  Renowned Novelist - Screenwriter :

✒️One of the notable writers of Tamil Nadu, Sujatha was born on May 3, 1935 in Tiruvallikeni, Chennai. His original name is S.Rangarajan. In 1962, his short story "Idadhu Orathil" was published in the magazine Kumutham under the name Rangarajan. After that he adopted his wife's name Sujatha as his pen name. After that he adopted his wife's name Sujatha as his pen name. He has made his mark in many fields like short stories, novels, plays, science books, poems, essays, film story-verses, television dramas. Sujatha was awarded "Kalaimamani Award" by the Government of Tamil Nadu in recognition of his writing work. He passed away on February 27, 2008, who captivated many readers with his unique imagination and style.

✒️தமிழகத்தின் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க எழுத்தாளர்களில் ஒருவரான சுஜாதா 1935ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 3ஆம் தேதி சென்னையில் உள்ள திருவல்லிக்கேணியில் பிறந்தார். இவருடைய இயற்பெயர் எஸ்.ரங்கராஜன். 1962ஆம் ஆண்டு இவருடைய, இடது ஓரத்தில் என்ற சிறுகதை குமுதம் என்ற இதழில் ரங்கராஜன் என்ற பெயரில் வெளிவந்தது. அதன் பிறகு தன் மனைவி பெயரான சுஜாதா-வின், பெயரை தன் புனைப்பெயராக வைத்துக் கொண்டார். இவர் சிறுகதைகள், புதினங்கள், நாடகங்கள், அறிவியல் நூல்கள், கவிதைகள், கட்டுரைகள், திரைப்பட கதை-வசனங்கள், தொலைக்காட்சி நாடகங்கள் எனப் பல துறைகளில் தன் முத்திரையினைப் பதித்தவர். சுஜாதாவின் எழுத்துப் பணியைப் பாராட்டி இவருக்கு தமிழக அரசின் கலைமாமணி விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது. தனது தனிப்பட்ட கற்பனை மற்றும் நடையால் பல வாசகர்களை கவர்ந்த இவர் 2008ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 27ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

James Joseph Brown - Renowned Musician

ஜேம்ஸ் ஜோசப் ப்ரௌன் - James Joseph Brown - American Singer - Dancer - Musician - Record Producer - Bandleader :

✒️James Joseph Brown, the father of soul music, was born on May 3, 1933 in Barnwell, South Carolina (USA). He was one of the most important changers of twentieth century music. Also, he had the unique ability to sing in a loud voice and dance while singing. He is multi-faceted as a singer, lyricist, choir leader and song producer. Apart from this, he has left his mark in music styles like Rock, Jazz, Disco, Dance, Electronic, Reggae, Afro-Beat, Hip Hop. He was known as a hard working man in the film industry and passed away on December 25, 2006.

✒️சோல் இசையின் தந்தை ஜேம்ஸ் ஜோசப் ப்ரௌன்  1933ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 3ஆம் தேதி தென் கரோலினாவில் (அமெரிக்கா) உள்ள பார்ன்வெலில் பிறந்தார். இவர் இருபதாம் நூற்றாண்டின் இசையின் போக்கை மாற்றியமைத்தவர்களில் மிக முக்கியமானவர். மேலும், பலத்த குரலில் பாடுவது, பாடிக்கொண்டே நடனம் ஆடுவது போன்று தனக்கென தனித்தன்மையை பெற்றிருந்தார். பாடகர், பாடலாசிரியர், பாடற்குழுத் தலைவர், பாடல் தயாரிப்பாளர் என்று பல முகங்களைக் கொண்டவர். இதுமட்டுமல்லாமல் ராக், ஜாஸ், டிஸ்கோ, டான்ஸ், இலத்திரனிசை, ரெகே, ஆஃப்ரோ-பீட், ஹிப் ஹாப் போன்ற இசை முறைகளிலும் இவர் தனது சுவட்டைப் பதித்துச் சென்றுள்ளார். திரைப்படத் துறையிலேயே கடுமையாக உழைக்கும் மனிதன் என்ற பெயர் கொண்ட இவர் 2006ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 25ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
