✒️May 4th is celebrated as International Firefighters Day. In 1999, 5 soldiers lost their lives fighting a massive bushfire in Australia. A worldwide e-mail campaign was launched to recall them. This is followed by International Firefighters Day on May 4th across the world.

✒️This festival is celebrated annually on the first Thursday of May. This day is celebrated to encourage the use of secure password i.e. password that no one can guess among internet users all over the world. (This year 2024 May 2nd is celebrated as Password Day).
✒️இத்தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் மே மாத முதலாவது வியாழக்கிழமையில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. உலகம் முழுவதும் இணைய பயனர்கள் மத்தியில் பாதுகாப்பான கடவுச் சொல்லை அதாவது யாரும் யூகிக்க முடியாத கடவுச் சொல்லை பயன்படுத்துவதை ஊக்குவிக்க இத்தினத்தை கொண்டாடி வருகின்றனர்.

✒️The musical genius Sadguru Sri Tyagaraja Swami was born in Tiruvarur on 4th May 1767. Sri Ramakrishnananda Swami taught him the Narada Upasana mantra. It is said that Sage Narada who chanted it with devotion showed him the rare book 'Swararnavam' containing the secrets of Sangeet Swara. Hearing about his musical talent, King Saraboji came to his court and asked him to sing his praises. But, steeped in devotion to Rama, he refused saying that he would not sing the praises of man. He did many things like composing kirtanas, composing music for them, reciting Vedas, learning Puranas and teaching music to others. Tyagaraja Swami, who rendered immense services to music, passed away on 6th January 1847.
✒️'தியாகப் பிரம்மம்" என்று போற்றப்படும் இசை மேதை சத்குரு ஸ்ரீ தியாகராஜ சுவாமிகள் 1767ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 4ஆம் தேதி திருவாரூரில் பிறந்தார். ஸ்ரீராமகிருஷ்ணானந்தா சுவாமி நாரத உபாசனை மந்திரத்தை இவருக்கு உபதேசித்தார். பக்தியுடன் அதை உச்சரித்து வந்த இவருக்கு நாரத முனிவரே காட்சி கொடுத்து சங்கீத ஸ்வர ரகசியங்கள் அடங்கிய 'ஸ்வரார்ணவம்" என்ற அரிய நூலை வழங்கியதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. இவரது இசைத்திறமை குறித்து கேள்விப்பட்ட சரபோஜி மன்னர் தன் அரசவைக்கு வந்து தன்னைப் புகழ்ந்து பாடச் சொன்னார். ஆனால், ராம பக்தியில் திளைத்திருந்த இவர் மனிதரை துதி செய்து பாடமாட்டேன் என்று மறுத்துவிட்டார். இவர் கீர்த்தனைகள் இயற்றுவது, அவற்றிற்கு இசையமைத்து பாடுவது, வேத பாராயணம் செய்வது, புராணங்கள் கற்பது, இசையை மற்றவர்களுக்கு கற்றுத்தருவது என பல செயல்களை செய்தார். இசைக்கு அளப்பரிய சேவைகள் ஆற்றிய தியாகராஜ சுவாமிகள் 1847ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 6ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
