✒️January 2nd is celebrated as World Introvert Day to understand and appreciate introverts.

• உள்முக சிந்தனையாளர்களை புரிந்து கொள்ளவும் பாராட்டவும் ஜனவரி 2ஆம் தேதி உலக உள்முக சிந்தனையாளர் தினமாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

S.R.Srinivasa Varadhan - Mathematician

எஸ்.ஆர்.ஸ்ரீனிவாச வரதன் - S.R.Srinivasa Varadhan - Indian-American Mathematician :

✒️Indian-American mathematician Sathamangalam Ranga Iyengar Srinivasa Varadhan was born on January 2, 1940 in Chennai. His maths teacher taught maths like a game. With that, he realized that there is no need to run away in fear after looking at the maths. He met some friends who were doing research on mathematically based probability and started researching with them. He received his PhD in 1963 from Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta under the guidance of eminent statistician C.R.Rao. He developed the theory of large deviations in mathematics and statistics. He discovered the principles of Differential Equations. His book 'Stochastic Processes' was well received in the world of mathematics. He has received many prizes, medals and honors including 'Abel' Prize (2007), Padma Bhushan Award (2008), US National Medal of Science, Infosys Prize for fundamental contributions in probability theory.

• இந்திய-அமெரிக்க கணிதவியலாளர் சாத்தமங்கலம் ரங்க ஐயங்கார் ஸ்ரீனிவாச வரதன் 1940ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 2ஆம் தேதி சென்னையில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவருடைய கணக்கு ஆசிரியர் கணிதத்தை விளையாட்டு போல் கற்றுத்தந்தார். அதன் மூலம் இவர் கணக்கைப் பார்த்து பயந்து ஓட அவசியம் இல்லை என்பதை உணர்ந்தார். 

• கணித அடிப்படையிலான நிகழ்தகவு குறித்து ஆய்வு செய்துக்கொண்டிருந்த சில நண்பர்களை சந்தித்து, அவர்களுடன் இணைந்து ஆய்வுகளில் ஈடுபட்டார். கொல்கத்தா இந்தியப் புள்ளியியல் கழகத்தில் சிறந்த புள்ளியியலாளரான சி.ஆர்.ராவ் தலைமையில் ஆய்வு செய்து, 1963ஆம் ஆண்டு முனைவர் பட்டம் பெற்றார்.

• இவர் கணிதம், புள்ளியியலில் நிகழ்தகவு, பெரிய விளக்கங்கள் கோட்பாடுகளை (Theory of Large Deviations) உருவாக்கினார். வகையீட்டு சமன்பாடுகள் (Differential Equations) குறித்த கோட்பாடுகளை கண்டறிந்தார். இவரது 'ஸ்டொகாஸ்டிக் பிராஸசஸ்" (stochastic processes) என்ற நூல் கணித உலகில் பெரும் வரவேற்பை பெற்றது. 

• நிகழ்தகவு கோட்பாட்டில் அடிப்படை பங்களிப்புகளுக்காக 'ஏபெல்" பரிசு (2007), பத்ம பூஷண் விருது (2008), அமெரிக்காவின் தேசிய அறிவியல் பதக்கம், இன்ஃபோசிஸ் பரிசு உள்ளிட்ட பல பரிசுகள், பதக்கங்கள், கௌரவங்களைப் பெற்றுள்ளார்.

🌟The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991: It was enacted & enforced on 2nd January 1992, to supplement the provisions of the Constitution relating to the Legislative Assembly and a Council of Ministers for the National Capital Territory of Delhi and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

🌟 1954ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 2ஆம் தேதி பத்மஸ்ரீ, பத்ம பூஷண், பத்ம விபூஷண் விருதுகள் இந்திய அரசினால் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது - Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awards were instituted by the Government of India on 2nd January 1954.

🌟1960ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 2ஆம் தேதி தமிழக வரலாற்று அறிஞர் தி.வை.சதாசிவ பண்டாரத்தார் மறைந்தார் - On January 2, 1960, Tamil Nadu historian T.V.Sadasiva Pandarathar passed away.

🌟 சி.ஆர்.நாராயண் ராவ், இந்திய விலங்கியல் மருத்துவர், ஊர்வனவியலாளர், 1960ஆம் ஆண்டு, ஜனவரி 2ந் தேதி மறைந்தார் - C.R.Narayan Rao, Indian Zoologist, Herpetologist, was passed away on 2nd January 1960.

🌟முதலாவது விண்கலம், லூனா 1 சோவியத் ஒன்றியத்தால் விண்ணுக்கு 1959-ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 2-ஆம் தேதி ஏவப்பட்டது - The first spacecraft, Luna 1 was launched into space by the Soviet Union on 2nd January, 1959.
