தேசிய மாசு கட்டுப்பாட்டு தினம் (உலக மாசு தடுப்பு தினமும் இன்று கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது) - National Pollution Control Day (World Pollution Prevention Day also observed today) :
✒️National Pollution Control Day is observed on 2nd December in India. It is observed in memory of those who died in the Bhopal gas accident. Its main objective is to spread awareness about prevention and management of industrial disasters and create awareness among people and factory management about pollution control measures.
- தேசிய மாசு கட்டுப்பாட்டு தினம் டிசம்பர் 2ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவில் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. போபால் நச்சுவாயு விபத்தில் மரணமடைந்தவர்களின் நினைவாக இத்தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. தொழிற்சாலை பேரிடர்களைத் தடுப்பது, அவற்றை கையாளுவது பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை பரப்புவது மற்றும் மாசு கட்டுப்பாட்டு நடவடிக்கைகள் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை மக்களுக்கும், தொழிற்சாலை நிர்வாகத்திற்கும் ஏற்படுத்துவதே இதன் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும். மேலும் இன்று உலக மாசு தடுப்பு தினமும் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
உலக கணினி கல்வி தினம் - World Computer Literacy Day :
✒️World Computer Literacy Day is celebrated on 2nd December. The computer gets the job done in the shortest possible time. Computer has now become an essential part of life. You can communicate all over the world through email from one place. Therefore, this festival is celebrated to create awareness that computer literacy is necessary for everyone.
- உலக கணினி கல்வி தினம் டிசம்பர் 2ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. கணிப்பொறியானது மிகக் குறைந்த நேரத்தில், வேலைகளை மிகச் சரியாக செய்து முடிக்கிறது. கணினி தற்போது வாழ்க்கையின் அத்தியாவசியமான ஒன்றாகி விட்டது. ஒரே இடத்தில் இருந்து கொண்டு மின்னஞ்சல் மூலம் உலகம் முழுவதும் தொடர்பு கொள்ள முடிகிறது. ஆகவே அனைவருக்கும் கணினி கல்வி அவசியம் என்கிற விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தவே இத்தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
சர்வதேச அடிமை ஒழிப்பு தினம் - International Day for the Abolition of Slavery :
✒️International Day for the Abolition of Slavery is a day declared by the United Nations General Assembly and celebrated every year on December 2. This day was celebrated for the first time in 1986. This day emphasizes the strengthening of human rights commissions to protect and prevent women and children from slavery.
- சர்வதேச அடிமை ஒழிப்பு தினம் ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பொது சபையால் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் டிசம்பர் 2ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படும் தினம் ஆகும். இந்த தினம் முதன் முதலில் 1986ஆம் ஆண்டு கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. பெண்கள் மற்றும் குழந்தைகளை அடிமை முறையிலிருந்து காப்பாற்ற, தடுக்க மனித உரிமை ஆணையங்களைப் பலப்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்பதை இத்தினம் வலியுறுத்துகிறது.

ஜார்ஜ் ரிச்சர்ட்ஸ் மினாட் - George Richards Minot, American Physician & Nobel Laureate :
✒️George Richards Minot, winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine, was born on December 2, 1885 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He has done many studies related to Arthritis, Blood Coagulation, Blood Disorders, Blood Transfusion Effects, Lymphatic Tissue Disorders, Red Blood Cell Functions, Leukemia, Anemia. He discovered that anemia is caused by the failure of the bone marrow to produce red blood cells. He also found that dietary habits are the reason for this. Further he researched various types of cancer. Along with William Murphy and George Whipple, he discovered that the previously incurable pernicious anemia could be treated with the liver. For this, he received the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1934. George Minot, who was involved in the study of the effects of anemia throughout his life and gave the best method, died on February 25, 1950.
- மருத்துவத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு பெற்ற ஜார்ஜ் ரிச்சர்ட்ஸ் மினாட் 1885ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 2ஆம் தேதி அமெரிக்காவின் மசாசூசெட்ஸ் மாநிலத்திலுள்ள பாஸ்டன் நகரில் பிறந்தார்.
- இவர் ஆர்த்ரைடீஸ், ரத்தம் உறைதல், ரத்தக் கோளாறுகள், ரத்தப் பரிமாற்றத்தின்போது ஏற்படும் பாதிப்புகள், நிணநீர் திசுக்களின் சீர்குலைவுகள், ரத்த சிவப்பணு செயல்பாடுகள், ரத்தப் புற்றுநோய், ரத்தச்சோகை தொடர்பாக பல ஆய்வுகளை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார்.
- இவர் ரத்த சிவப்பணுக்கள் உருவாக்கும் எலும்பு மஜ்ஜையின் செயலிழப்பு காரணமாகவே ரத்தச்சோகை ஏற்படுகிறது என்பதைக் கண்டறிந்தவர். உணவுப் பழக்கங்களே இதற்கு காரணம் என்பதையும் கண்டறிந்தார். புற்றுநோயின் பல்வேறு வகைகள் குறித்து ஆராய்ச்சி செய்துள்ளார்.
- வில்லியம் மர்பி, ஜார்ஜ் விம்பிள் ஆகியோருடன் இணைந்து, இவர் குணப்படுத்த முடியாது என்று கருதப்பட்ட பெர்னீஷியஸ் ரத்தச்சோகைக்கு, கல்லீரல் மூலம் சிகிச்சை அளிக்க முடியும் என்பதைக் கண்டறிந்தார். இதற்காக இவர்களுடன் இணைந்து மருத்துவத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசை 1934ஆம் ஆண்டு பெற்றார்.
- வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் ரத்தச்சோகை பாதிப்புகள் தொடர்பான ஆய்வுகளில் ஈடுபட்டு, சிறந்த முறையை வழங்கிய ஜார்ஜ் மினாட் 1950ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 25ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟The Central Industrial Security Force Act, 1968 : It was enacted on 2nd December 1968 & came into force on 10th March 1969, to provide for the constitution and regulation of an armed force of the Union for the better protection and security of industrial undertakings owned by the Central Government, certain other industrial undertakings, employees of all such undertakings and to provide technical consultancy services to industrial establishments in the private sector and for matters connected therewith.
🌟The Police-Forces (Restriction of Rights) Act, 1966 :It was enacted on 2nd December 1966 & came into force on 3rd December 1966, to provide for the restriction of certain rights conferred by Part III of the Constitution in their application to the members of the Forces charged with the maintenance of public order so as to ensure the proper discharge of their duties and the maintenance of discipline among them.
🌟 ஜெரார்டஸ் மெர்கேட்டர், புவியியலாளர், உலக வரைபடத்தை கண்டுபிடித்தவர், டிசம்பர் 2, 1594 அன்று காலமானார் - Gerardus Mercator, Geographer, inventor of world map, was passed away on 2nd December 1594.
🌟 வி.ஏ.சிவா அய்யாதுரை, இந்திய-அமெரிக்க பொறியாளர், மின்னஞ்சல் கண்டுபிடிப்பாளர், அவர் டிசம்பர் 2ஆம் தேதி 1963 இல் பிறந்தார் - V.A.Shiva Ayyadurai, Indian-American engineer & Inventor of email, was born on 2nd December 1963.
🌟 2006ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 2ஆம் தேதி பரிதிமாற் கலைஞரின் நூல்கள் தமிழக அரசினால் நாட்டுடமை ஆக்கப்பட்டன - Parithimar kalaignar books were nationalized by the Government of Tamil Nadu on 2006, December 2.
