உலக அஞ்சல் தினம் - World Post Day :

✒️The Universal Postal Union was established on October 9, 1874. This resulted in an agreement for worldwide postal transport. In 1969, when the Universal Postal Union Conference was held in Tokyo, it was announced that World Postal Day should be celebrated annually on October 9 to commemorate the day of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union.

  • உலக தபால் ஒன்றியம் (Universal Postal Union) என்பது 1874ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 9ஆம் தேதி ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. இதனால் உலகம் முழுவதும் தபால் போக்குவரத்திற்கான ஒப்பந்தம் ஏற்பட்டது.

தேசிய தபால் வாரம் - National Postal Week : This year, National Postal Week is celebrated in India from 9th October to 15th October. Its purpose is to popularize the mission and objective of the Indian Postal Department among the people, to improve the postal service for the public and to make it more accessible to the public.

  • இந்த வருடம் இந்தியாவில் அக்டோபர் 9ஆம் தேதி முதல் 15ஆம் தேதி வரை தேசிய தபால் வாரமாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இதன் நோக்கம் இந்திய அஞ்சல் துறையின் நோக்கத்தையும், குறிக்கோளையும் மக்களிடையே பிரபலப்படுத்தி, பொதுமக்களுக்கான தபால் சேவையினை மேம்படுத்தி, பொதுமக்கள் அதிகமாக பயன்படுத்தி கொள்ள வழிவகை செய்வதே ஆகும்.

எம்.பக்தவத்சலம் - M.Bhakthavatsalam - Former Chief Minister of Madras State - Indian Independence Activist :

✒️Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M.Bhakthavatsalam was born on 9th October 1897. He was imprisoned in Amaravati jail during the freedom struggle and suffered countless hardships. After taking charge as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in 1963, he demonstrated his administrative skills effectively. He brought an amendment to the Hindu Religious Endowment Department to start social welfare schemes like schools, colleges and student hostels from the funds of the temples. In 1960, he accepted the invitation of the Soviet Union and went to that country. He confidently said that if we complete two more five-year plans, we can also reach their level. Indian freedom fighter M.Bhakthavatsalam passed away on 13th February, 1987.

  • தமிழ்நாட்டின் முன்னாள் முதலமைச்சர் எம்.பக்தவத்சலம் 1897ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 9ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார்.

  • விடுதலைப் போராட்டக் காலங்களில் அமராவதி சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்டு எண்ணற்ற இன்னல்களை அனுபவித்தவர். 1963ஆம் ஆண்டு தமிழக முதல்வராகப் பொறுப்பேற்ற பின் தமது நிர்வாகத்திறனை திறம்பட வெளிப்படுத்தினார்.

  • இந்து சமய அறநிலையத்துறையின் திருக்கோவில்களின் நிதியிலிருந்து பள்ளிகள், கல்லூரிகள், மாணவர் விடுதிகள் போன்ற சமுதாய நலத்திட்டங்களைத் தொடங்கலாம் என்ற சட்டத்திருத்தத்தை கொண்டுவந்தார்.

  • 1960ஆம் ஆண்டு சோவியத் நாட்டின் அழைப்பை ஏற்று அந்நாட்டிற்குச் சென்று வந்த இவர், இன்னும் இரு ஐந்தாண்டு திட்டங்களை நாம் நிறைவேற்றிவிட்டால் நாமும் அவர்களது நிலையை அடைந்துவிடலாம் என்று அப்போதே நம்பிக்கையுடன் கூறினார்.

  • இந்திய நாட்டின் விடுதலைப் போராட்ட வீரர் எம்.பக்தவத்சலம் 1987ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 13ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.


கோபபந்து தாஸ் - Gopabandhu Das - Social Worker - Activist :

✒️Hailed as the 'Jewel of Odisha' Gopabandhu Das was born on 9th October 1877 in Suando village near Puri, Odisha. He said, 'English education is useless for making clerks. "Vocational education is important for the progress of the country," he stressed. Gopabandhu Das, who dedicated his life to the welfare of mankind, died on 17th June 1928.

  • 'ஒடிசாவின் மாணிக்கம்" (உத்கல மணி) என்று போற்றப்பட்ட கோபபந்து தாஸ் 1877ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 9ஆம் தேதி ஒடிசா மாநிலம் பூரி அருகே உள்ள சுவாண்டோ கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

  • இவர், 'குமாஸ்தாக்களை உருவாக்கும் ஆங்கிலக் கல்வியால் பயனில்லை. நாடு முன்னேற தொழிற்கல்வியே முக்கியம்" என்று வலியுறுத்தினார்.

  • மனித குலத்தின் நல்வாழ்வுக்காகவே தன் வாழ்க்கையை அர்ப்பணித்த கோபபந்து தாஸ் 1928ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுன் 17ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

✒️Chairman of Tata Group Ratan Tata is passed away on 9th October 2024, he was born on December 28, 1937 in Bombay. He is the Chairman of Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Chemicals, The Indian Hotels Company and Tata Teleservices. He designed the Nano car in 2008. He was one of the recipients of the NASSCOM World Leadership Awards in 2008. He has also received awards like Padma Bhushan (2000) and Padma Vibhushan (2008).
