சர்வதேச முதியோர் தினம் - International Day of Older Persons :

✒️International Day of Older Persons is observed on 1st October since 1991. Due to medical facilities and education, the average life expectancy of man is increasing. As a result, the number of elderly people is increasing worldwide. Hence, this day is observed in such a way that the elderly senior citizens should be given due rights and freedom.

• சர்வதேச முதியோர் தினம் அக்டோபர் 1ஆம் தேதி 1991ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. மருத்துவ வசதி மற்றும் கல்வி அறிவால் மனிதனின் சராசரி ஆயுட்காலம் அதிகரித்துக்கொண்டே செல்கிறது. இதனால் உலகளவில் முதியோர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை அதிகரிக்கிறது.

• வயதான மூத்த குடிமக்களுக்கு உரிய உரிமைகளையும், சுதந்திரத்தையும் அளிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதை உணர்த்தும் வகையிலேயே இத்தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.

உலக சைவ தினம் - World Vegetarian Day :

✒️World Vegetarian Day is celebrated all over the world on 1st October. The North American Vegetarian Society declared it in 1977. It was recognized by the International Vegetarian Union in 1978. This festival is celebrated with the aim of promoting happiness, kindness and vegetarian life.

• உலக சைவ தினம் அக்டோபர் 1ஆம் தேதி உலகம் முழுவதும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. வட அமெரிக்கன் சைவ கழகம் 1977ஆம் ஆண்டில் இத்தினத்தை அறிவித்தது. இதனை 1978ஆம் ஆண்டில் சர்வதேச சைவ ஒன்றியம் அங்கீகரித்தது. மகிழ்ச்சி, கருணை மற்றும் சைவ வாழ்வை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் இத்தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

தேசிய தன்னார்வ இரத்த நன்கொடை தினம் - National Voluntary Blood Donation Day :

✒️National Voluntary Blood Donation Day is observed in India on 1st October every year. It was first celebrated in 1975 by The Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology to share the need and importance of blood in a person's life.

• தேசிய தன்னார்வ இரத்த நன்கொடை தினம், அக்டோபர் 1ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவில் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஒரு நபரின் வாழ்வில் இரத்தத்தின் தேவை மற்றும் முக்கியத்துவத்தை பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் வகையில் 1975ஆம் ஆண்டு "தி இந்தியன் சொசைட்டி ஆஃப் ப்ளட் டிரான்ஸ்ஃபியூஷன் அண்ட் இம்யூனோஹெமட்டாலஜி" மூலம் இது முதன்முதலாக கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.

சர்வதேச காபி தினம் - International Coffee Day :

✒️Millions of farmers, roasters, baristas, coffee shop owners and affiliates around the world are celebrating the day of International Coffee Day every year on October 1st to recognize the people who work hard to make the coffee drink available in consumable form.

• உலகமெங்கிலும் உள்ள மில்லியன் கணக்கான விவசாயிகள், ரோஸ்டர்கள், பாரிஸ்டாக்கள், காபி கடை உரிமையாளர்கள் மற்றும் துணை நிறுவனங்கள், ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் அக்டோபர் 1ஆம் தேதி சர்வதேச காபி தினத்தை கொண்டாடி, காபி பானத்தை நுகர்வு வடிவத்தில் கிடைக்கச் செய்ய கடினமாக உழைக்கும் நபர்களை இந்நாளில் அங்கீகரித்து வருகின்றனர்.

Annie Besant - Activist

அன்னி பெசண்ட் - Annie Besant - British Socialist - Theosophist - Women's Rights Activist - Educationist - Philanthropist :

✒️Annie Besant, who fought for women's emancipation, was born on October 1, 1847 in London. Annie Besant started a weekly magazine called "Common Wheel" in 1913 to support the Indian freedom struggle. In 1917, she was elected as the president of the Indian Congress for one year at the conference held in Calcutta. Annie Besant Ammaiyar, who participated in many struggles for India's freedom and went to jail, died on September 20, 1933 at the age of 86.

• பெண் விடுதலைக்காகப் போராடிய அன்னி பெசண்ட் அம்மையார் 1847ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 1ஆம் தேதி லண்டனில் பிறந்தார். அன்னி பெசண்ட் இந்திய விடுதலை போராட்டத்திற்கு ஆதரவாக காமன் வீல் என்ற வாரப் பத்திரிக்கையை 1913ஆம் ஆண்டு துவங்கினார். 1917ஆம் ஆண்டில் கல்கத்தாவில் நடந்த மாநாட்டில் இந்திய காங்கிரசின் தலைவராக ஓராண்டிற்கு தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டார்.

• இந்திய விடுதலைக்காக பல போராட்டங்களில் கலந்து கொண்டு சிறைக்கு சென்ற அன்னி பெசண்ட் அம்மையார் 1933ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 20ஆம் தேதி தனது 86வது வயதில் மறைந்தார்.
