✒️Vethathiri Maharishi, who preached exercises with the mantra 'Vazhga Vaiyagam Vazhga Valamudan' (live long and prosper) was born on 14th August 1911 in Guduvanchery, near Chennai. While working in a private company in Chennai, he studied meditation, yoga, Siddha, Ayurveda and homeopathy. During World War II, he worked as a first aid instructor. In 1958, he started the World Community Service Centre to highlight ways for humanity to live in peace. It is operating not only in India but also in many other countries. His meditation methods and principles are followed all over the world today. Mindfulness is the way of life he gave to the people of the world. Also, he has written about 80 books in Tamil and English. Mahan Vethathiri Maharishi, who gave blessings to lakhs of people, passed away in 2006.
- 'வாழ்க வையகம், வாழ்க வளமுடன்" என்ற தாரக மந்திரத்துடன் உடற்பயிற்சிகளை வகுத்தளித்த மகான் வேதாத்திரி மகரிஷி 1911ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 14ஆம் தேதி சென்னையை அடுத்த கூடுவாஞ்சேரியில் பிறந்தார்.
- இவர் சென்னையில் உள்ள தனியார் நிறுவனத்தில் வேலை செய்தபோது தியானம், யோகா, சித்தா, ஆயுர்வேதம், ஹோமியோபதி மருத்துவ முறைகளை கற்றுத் தேர்ந்தார். 2-ம் உலகப் போரின்போது, முதலுதவிப் பயிற்சியாளராகப் பணிபுரிந்தார்.
- மனிதகுலம் அமைதியுடன் வாழும் முறைகளை எடுத்துரைக்க 1958ஆம் ஆண்டு உலக சமுதாய சேவா சங்கத்தை தொடங்கினார். இது இந்தியா மட்டுமின்றி, பல நாடுகளிலும் இயங்கி வருகிறது. இவர் வகுத்த தியான முறைகள், கோட்பாடுகள் இன்று உலகம் முழுவதும் பின்பற்றப்படுகின்றன.
- உலக மக்களுக்காக இவர் அளித்த வாழ்க்கை நெறியே மனவளக்கலை ஆகும். மேலும், இவர் ஏறக்குறைய தமிழிலும், ஆங்கிலத்திலும் சேர்த்து 80 நூல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார்.
- பல லட்சம் மக்களுக்கு அருளுரைகளை வழங்கிய மகான் வேதாத்திரி மகரிஷி 2006ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 28ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟 1984ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 14ஆம் தேதி இந்திய மற்போர் வீரரான காசாபா தாதாசாகேப் சாதவ் மறைந்தார் - Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav was a first Indian athlete, who won a bronze medal in individual category at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, was passed away on 14th August 1984.
