✒️ International Strange Music Day was started by Patrick Grant and it is celebrated every year on 24th August with the aim of discovering new music that we have never heard before.

சர்வதேச புதுமை இசை தினம் பேட்ரிக் கிராண்ட் என்பவரால் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஆகஸ்ட் 24ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாட ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. நாம் இதுவரை கேட்டிராத புதுமையான இசைகளை அறிந்து கொள்ளும் நோக்கில் இத்தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

Shivaram Rajguru - Indian Revolutionary

ராஜகுரு - Shivaram Rajguru - Indian Revolutionary :

✒️Freedom fighter, revolutionary, Rajguru was born on August 24, 1908 in Khed village of Pune district, Maharashtra. His full name is Shivaram Hari Rajguru. He joined Hindustan Socialist Republic. In this setting both Bhagat singh and Sukhdev became his close friends. Bhagat singh and his associates shot dead the British police officer John Saunders in 1928 who was responsible for the assassination of Lala Lajpat Rai. As a result, the three were sentenced to death and hanged on March 23, 1931, at Lahore Jail.

சுதந்திரப் போராட்ட புரட்சி வீரர் ராஜகுரு 1908ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 24ஆம் தேதி மகாராஷ்டிர மாநிலம், புனே மாவட்டத்தின் கேடா என்ற கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார். இவரது முழுப்பெயர் ஷிவ்ராம் ஹரி ராஜகுரு.

இவர் இந்துஸ்தான் சோசலிசக் குடியரசு அமைப்பில் சேர்ந்தார். இந்த அமைப்பில் பகத்சிங் மற்றும் சுகதேவ் இருவரும் இவருக்கு நெருங்கிய நண்பர்களாக மாறினார்கள். பகத்சிங் மற்றும் அவரது கூட்டாளிகள் இணைந்து லாலா லஜபதி ராயின் படுகொலைக்கு காரணமாக இருந்த பிரித்தானிய காவல்துறை அதிகாரி ஜெ.பி.சாண்டர்ஸை 1928ஆம் ஆண்டு சுட்டுக்கொன்றனர்.

அதன் விளைவாக இம்மூவருக்கும் தூக்குத் தண்டனை வழங்கப்பட்டது. இவர்களுக்கு 1931ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 23ஆம் தேதி, லாகூர் சிறையில், தூக்கு தண்டனை நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது.

நாரண.துரைக்கண்ணன் - N.Duraikannan - Writer - Journalist :

✒️Narana Duraikannan, the best journalist of Tamil Nadu and who left his mark in all fields of literature, was born on 24th August 1906 in Mylapore, Chennai. Although he wrote many stories under different names, he is popularly known by his pen name 'Jeeva'. His first article Saraswathi Poojai was published in 1924 in Swadesamitran magazine. He has written more than fifteen novels, stories, plays, poems, essays, researches, translations and more than 130 books. His write up of "Uyiroviyam" (Biography), Naan Enn Pennaga Piranthean? (Why Was I Born a Woman?), Dhasi Ramani (Female slave Ramani) etc, are novelties on feminism. He supported the Indian freedom struggle and wrote editorials and articles in his journal. Although the British government warned him against this, he boldly declared that we will not give up our policy and that this is our national duty. He was one of the first to strive for the nationalization of Mahakavi Bharathiyar's songs. He was honored with the title of "Narkalai Nambi", "Ilakkiya Semmal". He was appreciated by Mu.Vaa.,as a living artist, he passed away on July 22, 1996.

தமிழகத்தின் தலைசிறந்த பத்திரிக்கையாளராகவும், இலக்கியத்தின் அனைத்துக் களங்களிலும் தனிமுத்திரை பதித்தவருமான நாரண.துரைக்கண்ணன் 1906ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 24ஆம் தேதி சென்னையிலுள்ள மயிலாப்பூரில் பிறந்தார்.

இவர் பல்வேறு பெயர்களில் பல கதைகளை எழுதி வந்தாலும் 'ஜீவா" என்ற இவரது புனைப்பெயர்தான் பிரபலமாக அறியப்பட்டது. இவரது சரஸ்வதி பூஜை என்ற முதல் கட்டுரை 1924ஆம் ஆண்டு சுதேசமித்திரன் இதழில் வெளியானது.

இவர் பதினைந்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட புதினங்கள், கதைகள், நாடகங்கள், கவிதைகள், கட்டுரைகள், ஆராய்ச்சிகள், மொழிபெயர்ப்புகள் உட்பட 130ற்கும் மேற்பட்ட நூல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். இவர் எழுதிய உயிரோவியம், நான் ஏன் பெண்ணாகப் பிறந்தேன்?, தாசி ரமணி முதலியவை பெண்ணுரிமை பற்றிய புதினங்கள் ஆகும்.

இவர் இந்திய விடுதலைப் போராட்டத்தை ஆதரித்து தனது பத்திரிக்கையில் தலையங்கங்கள், கட்டுரைகளை எழுதினார். இதனை கண்டித்து ஆங்கிலேய அரசு அவருக்கு எச்சரிக்கை விடுத்தாலும், எங்கள் கொள்கையை விடமாட்டோம், இது எங்களது தேசியக் கடமை எனத் துணிச்சலுடன் அறிவித்தார்.

மகாகவி பாரதியின் பாடல்களை நாட்டுடைமையாக்க வேண்டுமென்பதற்காகப் பாடுபட்டவர்களில் முதன்மையானவராகத் திகழ்ந்தார். இவர் நற்கலை நம்பி, இலக்கியச் செம்மல் என்னும் பட்டங்கள் வழங்கிச் சிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டார். வாழ்க்கைக் கலைஞர் என்று மு.வ. அவர்களால் போற்றப்பட்ட இவர் 1996ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுலை 22ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
