✒️During World War II, in 1945, the United States dropped the first atomic bomb on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Since then, about 2000 nuclear weapons tests have been conducted. By using nuclear weapons in wrong ways, people's lives, health and environment are affected. Today's nuclear weapons can destroy the earth 500 times over. Therefore, the UN is concerned about its consequences and insisting on preventing its spread, hence, this day is observed on 29th August every year.
- இரண்டாம் உலகப்போரின் போது ஜப்பான் நாட்டின் ஹிரோஷிமா, நாகசாகி ஆகிய நகரங்களின் மீது அமெரிக்கா அணு ஆயுதத்தை முதன்முதலாக 1945ஆம் ஆண்டில் வீசியது. அதன் பிறகு இதுவரை சுமார் 2000 அணு ஆயுத சோதனைகள் நடத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன. அணு ஆயுதத்தை தவறான வழிகளில் பயன்படுத்துவதன் மூலம் மக்களின் வாழ்க்கை, சுகாதாரம், சுற்றுச்சூழல் உள்ளிட்ட பாதிப்புகள் ஏற்படுகின்றன.
- இன்றைக்குள்ள அணு ஆயுதங்களை கொண்டு பூமியை 500 முறை அழிக்கலாம். ஆகவே இதன் விளைவுகள் பற்றியும், அதன் பரவலைத் தடுக்க வலியுறுத்தியும் ஐ.நா. சார்பில் இத்தினம் ஆகஸ்ட் 29ஆம் தேதி கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.

தயான் சந்த் - Major Dhyan Chand - Indian Hockey Player (One of the Greatest in the History of the Sport) :
✒️Indian hockey legend Dhyan Chand was born on August 29, 1905 in Uttar Pradesh. His birthday is celebrated as National Sports Day in India. He was the main reason why India won gold medals in the Olympic Games held in 1928, 1932 and 1936. His style of playing hockey is still seen as something to marvel at today. He retired in 1948. The National Stadium in Delhi has been named in his honour. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India. Three-time Olympic gold medalist Dhyan Chand, India's greatest hockey player, passed away on December 3, 1979.

- மூன்று முறை ஒலிம்பிக்கில் தங்கம் வென்ற இந்தியாவின் மிகச்சிறந்த ஹாக்கி வீரர் தயான் சந்த் 1979ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 3ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

✒️Michael Joseph Jackson, who is regarded as the greatest pop musician of the twentieth century, was born on August 29, 1958 in Indiana, USA. His music album "Thriller" is the highest selling music album in the world. This achievement was included in the Guinness Book of Records. He has won several Grammy Awards and American Music Awards. He also received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He is a rare musical genius who has written songs, composed music, danced to the song and acted in between. First black musician to gain mainstream influence in America. The dance forms created by him like robot and moonwalk are very popular. Michael Jackson, who is still admired as an incomparable artist in the world of pop music, died on June 25, 2009.
- இருபதாம் நூற்றாண்டின் மகத்தான பாப் இசைக்கலைஞர் என்று போற்றப்படும் மைக்கல் ஜோசஃப் ஜாக்சன் 1958ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 29ஆம் தேதி அமெரிக்காவின் இன்டியானா நகரில் பிறந்தார்.
